just lost my whole bankroll on 888poker due to pop ups atleasst 3-4 every 5 minutes I was playing on the poker money tables and I went into the background to close all these pop ups and as I was clicking the x on one of them the poker room popped up cause it was my turn and the x of the window was in line with the call button sure enough the guy goes all in and click call as I'm clicking the x and lost all my chips I worked hard countless stoned hours for this money ..... next freeroll is 4 hours away now I am pissed ....

loooool i wish to say i feel sorry for you, but really i don't give a sh1t... though i remember having similar issues back in the days when i was multi tabling double or nothings on stars, fighting it out with the chinsese sweatshop workers for the ultimate glory.
that's something that has probably to all of us here, I don't remember which poker room it did happen to me but for me it was when I was in a tournament and lost 50% of my chips and it was like melon master said above, I was also doing multi-table sessions...

The pop ups is the first thing to stop from being displayed in a poker software. Like calm said i learned that the hard way but it was a tournament back then, so the cost was some chips, at the end, In a ring game must be very painful

That´s verry bad and sometimes it was to much with their popups. One missclick and you lost your whole stack, that´s not funny and because you can write to the support and explain what happened. Perhaps they believe you and give you a cashback.

Yes I too had this situation sometimes and there was situations when I won because of this pop ups, i called with hands i wpuld mot call in any situation, like 27 off in early position having good stack and allin call but i win sometimes against AA but I lost some too, so need cor being careful

do poker softwares have popups? my adblocker must be stopping them if they do. either that or multitasking porn and poker is a bad idea as you have found out the hard way. missclicks though are the worst but its noones fault other than yours and its something that I have not fixed in my own game

Yea many of them do. They aregiving information for upcoming tournaments in order to sign up for them. Clicking takes you directly to the tournament. Microgaming used to have a very annoying one back in the day

One has to be careful where one clicks on ones screen while playing poker. A few weeks ago, I was happily signing in to one ipoker network site when I found I had instantly register for a $2.20 satellite. I had no recollection of doing this, but quickly came to realise that the x box of an opening screen I had clicked was directly over the register button of the satellite I was now playing. As it was, I won a $10 ticket so it was a profitable sleight of hand by the poker site for me on this occasion..... but still... very naughty how they construct such situations.

i actually have remembered now that i have had not so similar but also issues with popups when playing poker, or to put it more precisely- issues with watching pornhub and that damn poker popping up spoiling the fun, usually at the culmination... it was hard to concentrate on poker, just pressed random buttons and returned to the instructional content asap
but it was a tournament back then,
but i win sometimes against AA
