I wish people wouldn't post stuff like this. I want people who are losing money to keep throwing it into online poker, if these guys weren't around it would be a lot harder to make a decent wedge Big Smile lol

Seriously though, if you're making enough money to warrant the amount of time you spend playing then it's not an addiction. It's more a hobby/part time job that your passionate about... imo

defintiely addicted myself, although i go through stages of addiction. Best advice is, you either can play by your own rules and play using poker tools such as bankroll management and your own set of disiplines like stop playing if your down 10% of your bankroll that day etc. and in the long run you will always be playing in your confort zone and are very unlikely to lose money in the long run. The people who end up going broke and losing everything like the man mentioned above have no self control on disipline and this is essential for poker, there is only two rules for poker.

1. DON'T PLAY IF YOU CAN'T CONTROL YOUR OWN ACTIONS AT ALL TIMES.
2. ALWAYS PLAY IN YOUR COMFORT ZONE.

other than that just have fun, you should be a winning player in no time.

Good Luck at the tables all Thumbs Up

Yes, by trying more live games you're not going to be that addicted to online poker. If not just look for a 2nd hobby & I think it will work.

Well if you are reeding this thread you probably know it to late, poker has talos well and truly dug in, all you can do now is hope you are a winning player.
Dont fight it, it will only make you unhappy.
You must play daily,
You must check stats and serch for good tables and tourns for you to play whilst not playing.
When you go to bed at 3am you must still be thinking "why did I call", or "why the fk did he call that"
Your family and friends are worthless now, poker is the only one you can trust.
You must look down on thoose who dont understand poker and call it a game of "LUCK"
Or try rehab, GL.
