I think more players can play the better it is to all- for people who want to play but cannnot because of politicians, to opponents because more players are online and more competition, and to owners because more clients more profit more chance to create better promotions

Never understood how they operate there with the whole state thing.
Just to keep more and more politicians up, from what it seems, instead of being
a country with same laws and everything, for the whole of it.
Now one can drive in one state at a specific age, in other cant, get drugs in one in other one not... Smile
and the story goes on.
You are legal, in one part of your country and illegal if you drive a couple of miles more....

holy shaizen... no new yorkers to be seen at the poker tables, under the poker tables and in between the poker tables as long as the online poker goes... pretty sad sight for the big apple citizens, maybe it's a bout the time to start considering a move to another state...

I find it incredible that you cannot play online poker in a city like New York. You would have thought that this would never happen and it must be only a matter of time before this bill is passed

This are good news for the online poker world, because many players are in the player pool. And the american poker scene was the biggest in the world, so it can bring back a poker boom and new online poker rooms with more promos Blink

well online poker was forbidden in whole america, because american government believe that this is not secure system, that poker sites can cheat and especially after on one site players had problems with taking money, absolute poker I think,so after that online gambling was closed for every player from america!

If you think so then you should generally disconnect the Internet from people .... completely ... and then suddenly there will be deceived ?? ... with such logic you can close at all anything ... because it is done for the people and for its good ... what nonsense

The New York state Assembly adjourned without taking any action on the proposed online poker bill passed by the Senate. A path to legalization of online poker in the state of New York will be long and tortuous.

Sooner or later they will find a way to get poker in more states.
But of course they will get their piece, taxing it Smile
It is a big market the US, so if not many, most of the sites will jump in.
Lets wait and see Smile

Hello my friends and fellow mobsters

Well I thought that the USA law makers where a bit different from the ones that I have here in my country but seems that thare are all the same no matter where they are from Aww crap! Aww crap!

In Portugal they took over a year to put out a legislation and even more time to regulate it Aww crap! they started to issue licenses but in poker only Pokerstars and on betting 3 small houses Aww crap! Aww crap!

They suck but you got to be happy and stay cool

this all situation is hilarious.... in america live poker is legal, but online not O.o so whats different in online and live poker that one is violating law, and other is 100% legal... even WSOP are in america...now i will spread you some knowladge... main couse because online poker is ilegal in america is because goverment cannot take any juice of it.... if they could tax you on online poker than they will give you online poker... also another problem is that money is leaving country, and that is bad for economy... its not like vegas because vegas is taking money from tourists, and all rake stays in country... and that is preaty fine with them + they are taxing all winnings won in WSOP...also I think americans can play online poker on WSOP.com I am not sure in that way money stays in country and they can tax it xD
