As far as i know that is not possible. But actually: Why bother? If some guys like to down vote posts, just let them. Ignore them, like you would turn off the chat if some moron is spamming the table with his comments.

I alwyas wonder why we use "thumbs-up" (with an 's'), not "thumb-up." I found the answer.
“The thumbs up sign is most commonly (but wrongly) thought to descend from gladiatorial contests in which the audience determined whether the combatant was eligible to live or die by a thumbs up/ thumbs down vote. But there are other theories. There is a old English saying ‘Here’s my thumb on it!’ which was used to seal a bargain. The two people involved each wetted a thumb and then extended it, held upwards, until the two raised thumbs came into contact with one another. It is easy to see how this custom could lead to, or support the idea of holding out a raised thumb as a sign of friendly agreement or approval. The signal has also been used by some ape species, who may just be celebrating the fact that they, like we, have opposable thumbs in the first place.”

well that's life for you- there are dudes who just feel good i guess to downvote someone for no particular reason, or for what they believe is a major reason, who the fcuk cares... they are losers, forget them and move on with writing what you want with no boundaries.

Long time ago there was a fellow mobster, the good old Dunotra, ( that later on was banned several times and then won a lifeban) who was complaining for the opposite reason: he was receiving too many upvotes, thumb(s) up, to his posts and was worried about loosing his bad boy image.
Try to guess the result of his complaints and check if you guessed correctly here:
