In pure sporting terms Mayweather should be the big favorite. He is the pro boxer, McGregor isn't. But with that amount of betting going around this fight, i wouldn't be surprised, if "funny" things happend.
Well, McGregor has size, power, youth on his size and he's bringing unorthodox style/distance of MMA striking to boxing. It could actually work because these guys are used to fighting a certain way.
But still McGregor is far from being favorite here. I don't know if hiss only shot is a clean KO, maybe he could win some rounds but I doubt he would ever win a 12 rounds decisions. It's probably not gonna be part of his strategy anyways, he always tries to knock people out. On the other hand, there's Floyd... We know exactly what he's gonna do. Run Hug Jab!

Win Floyd Mayweather without a doubt as he is a boxer with all the letters. In my humble opinion I think this fight is a media circus armed to create a multi-million dollar show since there is no relationship between the 2 since it is a very uneven fight where Mayweather has all the win.
If McGregor will manage to resist this of course it will be interesting ... and I think both fighters have received instructions not to finish the fight quickly .... then all interest will disappear .... maybe the fight will be interesting but of course McGregor should lose

I think this fight could turn out to be one of the biggest letdowns ever. Mayweather can't punch and McGregor probably won't be able to land a punch. I really hope i am wrong and McGregor wins but i doubt it

I still say that Mayweather has to win without a doubt, but I think the fight is going to stretch too, since if Mayweather knocks him out in the first round, the show will end immediately. And as this is precisely a show has to look like a great fight or fight, but with a clear winner: Mayweather.-

Had the expected outcome. Early on McGregor could land a few hits, but over time the boxer prevailed. So Mayweather finaly won through tko in round 10, when the ref stopped the fight.

Yeah, but the heavy weight class isn't dominated by boxers from the US of A as it used to be. So there is a need for other heros. And the money surely came from the pay TV outfit, just like in football.

They are able to collect this amount of money from - the system pay per view with 89, 99 dollars price for this fight, 20.000 tickets with 500 $ - 10.000 $, TV commercials, and all networks tv. The Match of the Century ", Floyd Mayweather and the Philippine Manny Pacquiao, held in May 2015 after endless negotiations, generated over $ 400 million just from TV receipts, a record for boxing. Not money is the problem. The real problem is the bad games(circus) for those who have paid the money for watching.
This was a fight for casual combat sport fans. Everybody knew Conor didn't have more than 10% chance to win and that is if the fight wasn't fixed. TMT fighters won every single fight, taylor made matchups for his protegés.
I'm just happy I didn't pay a dime to watch it because I would've been very disapointed to pay for these 4 boxing fights. But at the end of the day I still prefer watching MMA, boxing is all about chin and endurance. The matchups are usually more competitive in MMA too, less cans get to the pro level.

i couldnt believe what you say and googled, but its true. you have to pay 90$ and 100$ to watch this fight on HD. 100$ just to watch on "TV" - no ty. my god, ive watched klitschko in germany once. 5th row or something only 120 DM or so = around 100$ and that was LIFE.
not worth to watch two 1.50m small skinny ballerina chicken
boxer should be pay good because they lose braincells with every punch, but i find 200 million is way too much for one single person. imagine what you can do with all that money in 3rd world countrys. this is way beyond common sense but as long people pay...
in Russia this fight was shown on the central television channel ..... but the time of the beginning was at 6:30 ..... I at this time still see different dreams .... and waking up I did not regret that I missed this fight ... looked at the record of the best moments and saw that it was a battle with a pre-determined outcome ....

I was a night shift at work and I watched a boxing match live It was early but I'm awake all night It was a spectacle but nothing more the fight was catastrophic, I can say that a few rounds went only to embrace only the last round was the right fight and only from the boxer Conor McGregor is not for boxing it's a champion for mma

Surprise, Surprise. A MMA guy is a MMA guy, and a boxing guy is a boxing guy. Spezialisation in sporting professions is just to extreme to overcome. No one can expect Usain Bolt to win a Marathon or even 5000 meters.

And as expected and without any kind of surprises, he had to win Floyd Mayweather. It was expected that McGregor was going to play with everything he can from the beginning of the fight, but even so did not catch up. It was a great show only but it is out all critical analysis of a fight when in fact it was not.-

In several situations it was funny Many of his blows were the same as fighting in a MMA ,from the back, several times he liked to pick it up and hit at the ground But I'm sure it's better paid than in MMA

As a show I must admit that it was a fantastic evening as it remained in the memory of all lovers of boxing recorded for many years. It was all round, all the pockets of dollars were filled, all those who organized and participated in this event, was a great success without a doubt.-
