There is someone in this site The BankrollMob who was cheating and stolen by this Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet. It seems that players will be paid. The American Department of Justice will pay the players money. Strange is Scott Tom the founder will only make one week of prison and will pay 300.000 dollars to amend. Very little prison for what he did.

Two rooms out of the stone age of online poker. Good to hear the affected players will get at least some of their money back. But it took nearly 10 years to solve the issue, as the scandal came to light in 2007-2008.

Never thought that the ones had money over there will be paid. It has been a long time since that happened. I bet many of the new member might not even know the sites Wonder how many of the small money players have kept data, of what they had in.

Not with those 10 years old addresses and acc information/player credentials they have on file,,,

Of cause not to the old informations obtained from the sites involved that are a decade old. Players had to file a claim with the authorities to be able to receive their money back. Ususal process in such circumstances.
this is certainly a very old story and the fact that the money will be returned to the players is of course very impressive !!! ..... as impressive is the very short term of imprisonment and a very small fine of the main swindler .... maybe we do not know what too and what are then additional sanctions for him?

There are already many articles about it everywhere. As it has already been sain in another post here, some of the players have got their money already. What i have read and was interesting, is that they are using money form the settlement with pokerstars and the fine they had paid then, to pay the players.

well to be honest its really strange to see that the money will be paid out, and not because of this fact but because of the time that has passed from the bankruptcy of the sites. wow after 10 years to have the final decision... one can safely think that majority of clients already have written off this money as pure losses.
All the same will pay not to all. The fate of many players from these rooms isn't known. But I hope that they will understand correctly and honestly. But it is very strange why, so many years later they have decided to pay off with debts?

It remains to be seen if they are going to pay all of them and in full. If the money they have to repay is going to exceed the amount left from the settlement the pokerstars had, where the rest will come from?

I too think that it is very strange situation with money that was steal from players now after ten years is going back to players, i don't think that all players can be contacted, some forget all the details of accounts, soem forget about all this situation. But it is good to see that some money is boing back.

After so many years, i wouldnt have kept any details about it. After some point, you say its gone thats it. Although i have kept the ones from cake poker. At least for now. Dont see it getting the money from there

When the process is delayed very much it's going to take years but these things are seen on the face. He bought the judge surely. Lawyers are the ones who arrange those things. Justice is not right anywhere in the world maybe with except for a few countries. It's good that people get the money back. Not all peoples after 10 years but is good.

Even if only a few got paid, it is much better than nothing. It shows that the system works somehow, in some countries. At least some times But the penalty isnt one that can give a lesson to others and thats the point.

well now when I think about this, maybe I have a few dollaros left there too, I remember that I played on both of the sites- absolute poker and ultimate bet. actually UB (ultimate bet) was the first poker room I started my online poker experience. hello i want my 100k stuck there back

So is there anyone with account in absolute poker or ultimatebet, from brm? Still havent seen a member saying that got paid. But there is the chance that some had an account, with no money at all in We need some fresh news here from someone directly involved.
