On October 16 Monday, a Nevada judge said that a lawsuit filed by high-stakes Australian poker player Matt Kirk versus Czech casino owner Leon Tsoukernik can proceed.
The local judge states that the $2 million debt is unenforceable; however, if he can somehow prove that Tsoukernik never intended to pay back the money, Kirk could be entitled to receive compensation for the damages.

That case up again. The case still holds somehow, since the judge didnt dismiss it completely, but it looks it will be a difficult one to win. Either getting his money back or not, i believe he has learned a lesson from all this.
After this story is on and going i wonder how thy picked his casino to host the WSOP Europe...

Arguments in a court room must be based on the evidence. Have both plaintiff and defendant shown solid and substantial evidence to the court? Was there any written agreement between both parties?

It is going to be very difficult for this guy to get all his money in my opinion. Proving that he had no intention of paying the money back is going to be very challenging. I hope he does get it all back though

I read another thread here in The BankrollMob about this casino owner Leon Tsoukernik with refusal to pay money for Matt Kirk. I do not understand one thing how to accept such games on debt even if some people guarantee and pay. There is the bad part that some players do not want to pay anymore. They should be forbidden for their life to play on debt.

Wow...... to be in such a position of being able to consume a debt of two million dollaroes is just almost unimaginable. I will be interested to see what the outcome of this matter is given the judge reckons it's an unenforceable debt! There will be some interesting legal and factual arguments going down in this one.

Yes this is strange situation and also like dome people say this is very serious money, to play from such amounts that you can lose 3 millions of dollars in only 10 minutes it is just super big money and they play headsup poker. Interesting to see what the decision from mudge will be

It wont be easy to win the case. And if he lost the case, then he will have more expenses on top of it. The lawyer in this case must be getting paid lots of money. But for 2 millions, it sure worth they try, to get it back.

If they were witnesses to that game has all the chances of winning the process and this leon tsoukernik must to pay. The men who did not receive the money Matt Kirk he trust to play on debt he believed he was a trustworthy man who would pay. It was not like that but i hope he will win the case and receive the money.
