If you missed the broadcast of the WSOPE Main Event, which was won by the former economics teacher and now a member of the professional team of the eights, Marty Roca De Torres, then it will be interesting for you to take a look at the next distribution that happened just before the official final table was formed.
Immediately 4 players competed in 4-way pots: Nial Farrell (A K ), Maria Ho (10 10 ), Rainer Kempe (9 9 ) and Kristen Biknell (A J ). After a small action in pre-flop, all 4 players remained in the game, the flop 10 7 J was opened. Niall Farrell from the small blind immediately moved all the chips to the center of the table, and Maria Ho after a short hesitation sent a set of dozen in a pass. The other two followed suit.
Both Niall Farrell and Maria Ho eventually got to the official finals and took the 5th and 6th places respectively. But if Maria made a call in this hand, then the tournament for both players was formed in a radically different way. And how would you act in the place of Maria Ho?

Ugly flop, even for middle set. With little action preflop and 4 players in the hand someone easily could have made the flush or a straight on that board. Maybe she should have played her hand more aggressively before the flop.

I assume Kristen Biknell didn't have the Ah but Farrell did?

I didn't see the broadcast but I can guess Farrell had bigger stack than Maria Ho right? with two other players behind seemed like the right decision, would be interesting see the stack of the players left in the tournament and also the payouts.

Too much love in that game ivan, thus why so many hearts But you are right though. The hands showed here are wrong. As for the play on this one, not and easy decision. Probably would have folded the hand too.

This poker player Maria Ho was too scared by that horrible flop. Nial Farrell took advantage of his heart ace and gave direct all in. The importance of this game and the stack of Nial Farrel made her to fold a very good hand. It is not strange is just fear. Maybe on another occasion Maria Ho will pay but depends on several aspects.

It is virtually impossible to evaluate the situation accurately without having any knowledge about these players' pre-flop and post-flop playing styles. It seems to me that Maria Ho (58 bb) had a gut feeling that 1) Niall Farrell (74 bb) wasn't bluffing against multiple opponents, 2) one of her three opponents, including Kristen Bicknell (53 bb) and Rainer Kempe (95 bb, the big stack), who were to act after Maria, had flopped a Heart flush or had hit a set with pocket Jacks.

judging by the cards of the other players, then there were not so many hearts left ...... so maybe she made a big mistake without answering ... of course, maybe she would eventually lose, but I think she had very good chances of winning. .... personally, I would in her place answered

Watched the video on youtube. That AJ was suited spades. That one didnt need too much thought to fold, after the all in. The 10s though wasnt an easy decision to make. A q also could have sent her away.

pajalnick i did the same like you but only with one condition. I was supposed to be a professional live player, have enough money in my accounts and the tournament is not very important. If it was a very important tourney i think that the option was fold for me. Sometimes you pay sometimes fold. You have many variants with this game poker holdem...
