It could be a good plot for the next Ocean’s 11 sequel, but then again, maybe not.
According to police, last week, a man from Oklahoma was arrested at a Tulsa casino for allegedly faking his own kidnapping, in the aim of collecting ransom payments from his wife and friends.
Jonathon Michael Davis, age 34, of Owasso, Oklahoma, had not come home for three days since February 27 when his wife[...] Read more » Man who faked his Kidnapping to Collect Ransom found Gambling at Casino

This man should run for the award of the Year's Gap. He did a lot of stupidity and he was arrested for that. To create a kidnapping yourself for 375 dollars to play at the casino is something of a rare stupidity. Now this bumpy head is also able to make prison because passion of gambling tempted him to do this thing.
It would be a bad plot, as Hollywood screenwriters tend to picture their characters as a smart guys aimied by good intentions, and this is a very stupid man who was putting his family through the hell for 375 dollars.
it seems to me that all the same the film on his adventures can be done ..... like some kind of comedy .... of course he did a very stupid thing but people on earth are many and not all of them are smart .... this person is clearly not related to clever people ... and his action shows it

"The ransom amount was $375." LMFAO! A US$375 ransom? Are you kidding? Was this guy high on crack? A $10,000 bail bond! Does he have any friends who can bail him out? This is one of the most ridiculous stories I have heard lately.

As I said when I read the news that they had sanctioned one for riding( I believe in California), people do not stop surprising one. When you think you've seen it all, this kind of news arrives to say the opposite. Incredible the stupid of this case for less than $ 400.

He must be a "smart" cookie 375 USD in his paypal account, and all that from his cellphone. Now it will cost him even more, to pay the money for the bond. Wonder if his wife and friends will pay that amount

the most beautiful thing is his wife to divorce him or at least scare him. Then he will see how awful he was his very bad strategy. This man probably has no friends. If he has friends he could ask for money from that friend. Is a sad story for him and his family.

my god how can the summit of the addiction to play play? I would have to seek a treatment against addiction because that is what I did and it was inaccessible because I let the family all panic and mobilized police who could be working in a real occurrence

G'day mates
This has got to be one of the stupidest people to live in the USA. This is a level of stupidity which should appear on America's stupidest criminal's on the television program.
