Party Poker - Sit & Go Hero - 3 handed  0
Any suggestions on strategy at these games? I find that a semi-aggressive strategy is working pretty good. But I can't seem to figure out the best way to play these. I'm making a small profit playing these but I know it's certainly possible to earn way more then what I'm doing and that I need to finetune my approach if I'm gonna start earning more decent money.

Any suggestions will be very appreciated!

I'm not 100% sure about what this format is , is it like the pokerstars spin&gos where u play 3 handed Hyper turbo ? I feel like these games are incredibly RNG based if you don't play them in high volume. as you're saying you are making small profits but on what sample size of games? also what buy ins do you play ?

I'm usually on the PartyPoker playing one on one .... it turns out that you have one opponent and you need to defeat him ... I tried to play in the format that you say but I did not really like .... semi-aggressive manner of play of course a good action but you do not have time to study the game of rivals

Yeah, it's like those spin & go. I haven't put that much volume in, maybe around 100 games in total. Doing $0.25 Buy-In games and I think I've made a profit of about $2-2.50 so far. I know these games typically are very swingy but I like the concept and the fact that I actually can finnish a game ones in a while without being interupted. Life with an 18 month old kid can be very timeconsuming.

So yeah, I need to put in a lot more volume to be able to say for sure how I'm doing but that's gonna take a while due to my lack of time. But I definitily feel that I have an edge on at least 75% of the players that seem to frequent these tables. I just haven't been able to finetune a good strategy. My results so far are pretty much based on instinct and knowledge of the game, but I could easily improve quite a bit if I just get all the pieces into place.

Yeah, I sure am enjoying myself! I've really missed playing poker but my kid is far more important to me so I'll only get to play when she's asleep, and that doesn't happen that often. And when I'm working on average 55 hour weeks I need to get the energy for it as well.

Anyway, if you have any ideas on how to approach these games, please let me know so I can see if anything works for me or I might be able to adapt my game just a little bit. Even a 1% improvement is gonna help a lot in the long run!

Play very agressive , don't be afraid to shove with bad hands when you feel like your opponent is only likely to call with a good hand. Stealing blinds is very important in these kind of hypers so adapt your playstyle to not only play the nuts Blink

What about the very early stages? When blinds are really small. Is there any point in risking things that early?

Try to defend your blinds , don't nit too much on a 3min blind game thats 3max and finished after one table , especially not on 25 cent buy ins as people will pretty much shove anything Cool

Pretty much what I've been doing, but I feel there has to be something else, something that I'm missing! Or I just need to work on my own gameplay and instincts maybe Big Smile
