Manny Pacquiao scores First Knockout in 9 Years after Winning against Lucas Matthysse

It took almost a full decade since his last knockout win, but on Sunday July 15 Manny Pacquiao reminded everyone, especially his fans, that there's still so much more left in him. It's great to see Manny Pacquiao back and boxing well again. In his prime, he was always my favourite boxer and his fight with Oscar De La Hoya is still one of my all time favourite fights

I personally not like box wnd not watch any games, and i not understand how many money boxers get in pay in onr match, to me it is crazy when people get 20 or 30 millions of dollars for one match and sometimes match only goes for one minute. I also think it is a lit of corruption in this sport and many matches than result is know before match

I quit being a fan of boxing for many years. Circus all over but little boxing. The Klitschko brothers Wladimir Wladimirowitsch and Vitali Volodimirovici they were not spectacular in their matches and i was bored. However, this Manny Pacquiao was a much more spectacular boxer and had a beautiful career but now is almost 40 years old and his time has passed. I congratulate him for victory.

the best is at this lighter level where current best pound for pound is lomachenko. thats where the technique etc is. and where you have to train for most of the year not just a month or two

I like the boxing only, when there is a KO/TKO. Then I know it's pretty fair. But if famous boxer win by points, because he is famous, or match is in his hometown country - this is unfair.
In general, I don't like sports, when a lot depends on judge score - like gymnastic, figure skating, etc. I like sports, that are measurable - running, cycling, throw etc.
And boxing sometimes is non-measurable...

Back to topis - congrats for Manny - he is great fighter!

Manny is a great and storied fighter indeed. It's too bad that the sport of boxing itself is on the decline. Which is hardly surprising because of the corruption, blatantly skewed results, enormous purses, influence of organized crime and shady promoters, all because of the gambling attached to it. Gambling ruins any sport over time. Would anyone watch horse racing if there weren't a wager? There's a sport that only exists because of the gambling associated with it.

Not only gambling ruins any sport because there is a strategy of many fighters or boxers who fight in the ring and they are gentle too much. They do this thing for money and to fight more often in many matches. In this way they earn more money because instead of having 2-3 fights each year they have 4-5 and money destroy sports with gambling and other inconvenience.

well that is quite an ending to the fight... probably a sweet feeling indeed to record another knockout after painfully long 9 years... wow anyone can start doubting ones abilities after such a long dry period... but as most tales this one too has a happy ending

Well sometimes you have a streak of bad luck or hands that despite having higher percentage of winning you end up losing, I spend many times against the Russians ... that the truth sometimes I do not understand how they win with those letters hahaha Aww crap! Aww crap! Aww crap!

It is the same, no matter who you play against.
Anyone can play a hand like them.
And in some games it doesnt really matter, how you play some hands.
There is also a saying that goes like this : if you cant beat them, join them... Smile
