I believe they are right. As the time goes, more and more people are getting glued to a screen, or a monitor. Be it a tv, tablet, phone etc. Kids have become so addicted to this, that you see so many parents here, trying to unhook,'their kids, to no avail. And of course these kind of games, are targeting people from young ages. The younger they are, the easier it is to hook them.

I do not know if the NFL and the Super Bowl will ever compete with footbal in Europe or South America. A lot of money is spent with these sports in America but for they is something ordinary. They love these sports and the Europeans less. About this series Tekken looks interesting and 50.000 dolars is big money to attract new players

I know that the esports is developing quickly, but the quote about the biggest sport is overrated.
Let's compare some facts:
gaming shall become the biggest sector of media and entertainment with annual sales reaching up to US$145 billion.
Please, don't mess sales of games to the esport! It's like compare sales of oil to the automotive market...
worldwide monthly audience for eSports shall reach 167 million, and it will grow by 276 million come year 2022
Super Bowl - and it's single event bring more than 160 million viewers every year. Final Match of the FIFA World Cup bring over 550 millions! And it takes 90 minutes only, not whole month And more, the esport is not spreaded acroos whole Earth. Did you know any famous esport player from Africa? Or India? Or Brazil? And tell about famous football player - you may tell many names easily.
The esport don't have big sponsors, like Coca-Cola, Nike, McDonald's, automotive, etc. And without that and without bigger prizepools it can't reach Top1 of the biggest sports in the world.
circuit that includes the Eleague Major, a contest with a $1 million prize pool
$1 million? Funny Only Premier League from UK is worth more than $5 billion
And of course, last but not least, once again
gaming shall become the biggest sector of media and entertainment with annual sales reaching up to US$145 billion.
And guess what is capable for more than 43% of this share? Yes, mobile games on tablets, and smartpones which aren't connected in any way to the esport

Somehow I'm not in the least bit surprised about this. E Sports has been on the rise for the plast few years and attracted more and more players and spectators. With all the money being put intro it as prize as well there's no wonder it's gained in popularity.

So the CEO of a company, that produces a lot of equipment for e-sports, predicts that e-sports will be the biggest thing since sliced bread. Not really a surprise. Its like asking guys from Adidas or Nike about football.

I have no doubt that esports will become one of the biggest sports in the world. I recently watched the esports fifa world championships on t.v. and, to my surprise, thoroughly enjoyed it
this is just a prediction .... in the world there are many sports events that are not at all covered by this corporation .. this corporation is certainly very large and of course it has a lot of money ..... but ..... if this happens sometime then not at the same time ..... my opinion

You can say it is a prediction. One not far from the truth. If it is a game that it is online, then it can be profitable. Have you never seen tournaments with video games? And some of them have big prizes.Check them out on youtube, there are plenty of them...

We don't deny, that esport is profitable for some people, and there are many tournaments. But calling it "biggest sport in the world" is like dream of drunk sailor I doubt, that esport beat the most popular sports in the world: soccer, football, basketball, hockey, etc. It's impossible.

e-sport...*rolleyes*. calling something "sport" when some couchpotatos hitting some buttons is ridiculous. the olympic games lost their spirit long ago, after they introduced more and more such kind of wannabe sports like golf. the old greece would laugh about us...

The games from the organized tournaments, are ones that can be played in a pc also. So you may say that not everyone has ps or xbox, but what about a laptop or a pc. Gaming industry is a huge one, and keeps gaining ground by the time. The more that every one connects to the net, the more it will grow.

I not think it is biggest sport in the world in any time really, it is no sport to me, it is something more like fantasy, or maybe he is just want to make some saying to create more news about his business.

I believe you have no idea about gaming. The same way some one is watching a world cup game in soccer for example, the same way also there some others watching tournaments in esports.
It is a fact that it is a growing industry.
Besides that, there are also games, online ones, where you play for real money and you can win real money also, cashing it out with many ways like neteller bank transfer etc.
Not the video games we used to know few years back... Things have changed...

Things have changed and corporations profit of this two much. Corporations know how to make money and because of this hey manage to gather large amounts of sporting events. The amounts of money that are running in this area are very high. It is important that the spectators or tv viewers to be happy.
