I´m starting my poker learning...again! The first thing that I found in this path remembered to me a saying of my country; For making rich, you have to be rich! If you want the better information to your game format or a "sherpa" that guides to you in this info-labyrinth of oceanic dimension, you have to pay a lot of money. And the page that offers to you some systematic approach, they charge in different ways their services. So I think that we can help us in this path sharing our information. What do you think? First input (I invite to you to do yourselves):

I personally not like poker books because to me it.is look strange to read people say they know how to won ppker ajd they not win in their time but write book and nit make.many profit from it, so what is reason, maybe they just write ideas and not good.in reality
Real life/online play is always ahead - in terms of trends, stats, strategy, applied math etc... - at least a year or more to any kind of book or strategy assesment coming out hot every year detailing how to find winning ways of the current flow of the game... So you would probably better off reading different poker forums where they go into deep with analysis and free coaching sessions then hoarding strategy books when probably most of them outdated by now.

I agree watch poker video much better than read poker book. Poker book just standard and almost poker player know it so they can read your strategy easily, we have to modified . Read one or two good poker book is enough.
Yeah I'm also the kind of person who will read real books and not ebooks, last week I went to a book shop at one of the most popular shopping mall in my country to buy a gift book about kitchen for a family member then a poker book caught my attention. I opened it and it was all bullsh1t, nothing about strategy, more about the history of the game etc...
It is tough to find them in my country, only way is to buy them online...

I cant read an ebook either. It hurts my eyes after few minutes and do not enjoying reading at all. There is no point reading a book, by watching on a screen again. You are missing the whole point of "reading a book"
But in your case, it is something different, and can be combined with playing also. Videos can be useful also as it has been said already.

Well, after this massive refuse I abandonment my Poker´s ebook library idea. Maybe it has no sense to explain my motivation but, here pay to me for write I´m a very rudimentary poker player so I look for a path to learning all that I can and, for me, all the good books written by good players has a bit of the truth. When I will grow up in my understanding, perhaps I only look for the ultimate news in the game...not now. And, for the last, around me I don´t find any poker´s book, and lot less free, and that I could read in my phone everywhere
It seems to me that reading these books will not bring you a big profit ..... But if you succeed, then of course this is the right decision .... it's up to you .... but these books are read by many players .... And Will they follow the advice of this book the same question .... undoubtedly the experience of the game is much more important than reading books .... in my opinion

You can watch some videos to learn poker. There are even many live feeds in twitch, with people playing live poker, where they are commenting on their decisions, on their game play. That helps a lot to understand the game. If you stick to it, trying to improve your game day after day, you may become a pro some day

Almost all of these are full with common sense play management and tactical variations which easily can be found online besides the fact that the majority of books describing strategies used during LIVE games (ring or tourney does not matter) and most of us - including you I guess - are mostly online players. These books are not written to actually share valued knowledge just to make money to the authors, so treat them with the understanding of this....
I am a new poker player. already have lost some dough in the cash game. I guess I need to learn some more before playing cash again. I am now trying SnG's and doing ok there. So I think I will stick to the SnG's and some odd tournaments before I can learn some more. So I am all in for a separate thread for books/vids/tutorials etc.

Thanks all of you for your advice, I´m trying to use them. I see all the videos to my level in the page of strategy that is banned here, and look for some special matters (ranges, equity, etc) in YouTube. I made a large experience (eight years more or less) playing in recreational mode without any knowledge and I found that it´s not enough
