Rebuy MTT  0
I've been thinking about these rebuy MTTs. I can see that the prizepool in those games are generally quite large compared to regular MTTs. I know it's due to crazy ass pure gambling in the early stages, so what I'm wondering is: What's the optimal way of beating the early stages in these MTTs?

I've only played a handful of these games before so I honestly have no clue how to play them properly. Any insight would be grea! But if I were to guess, I would say to play nothing but premium hands and simple ABC poker. Am I wrong here?

Open up your range a bit more , reserve a few more buy ins especially if they are lower range tournaments. try to build a big stack before the latereg/rebuy/add on's are over. im not talking about call with 82 off or stuff like that , but try to play more suited connectors like 56 -- 78 - 910 etc.

depends what stakes you are playing... small stakes, dont bluff, when you have something strong bet huge... and thats it.... you should rebuy if starting stack is more than 10+ BB, and if you think field is soft and you have edge...

I believe the way to beat these early stages as you are saying is, to have more money in your
pocket and be ready to rebuy Smile
The players rebuying have the edge at some point since they can play more loose,
with a bigger card field
Unless you are getting very lucky early doubling or tripling your stack with your single buy in Smile

Thanks for all your input! Another question: how many rebuy and addon should I spend before I actually call it quits? Could a guideline be to not spend more then what a min cash would cover?

Generally I recommend all of these things above. But the swings within these tourneys really-really high especially till rebuy period closes and the playerpool are quite different (especially in low and midrange stakes) compared to regular tourneys...
So if you could be succesfull in those I would recommend to stay on those but if you like playing loose agressive in the first two hours and could handle the huge swings within sessions then go at it.

I have read the limping in as much as possible in the early stages and playing the flop helps out a lot to get itm.

It is best to do more rebuys because you will get a better cards. When people do a lot of rebuy, then the prizes grow and those who bought other chips, they are slightly more favored than the others players. I noticed this with my eyes. These games are very good.
