Of course, it is better to remain anonymous when receiving a lot of money from the lottery ... since If your data is publicly available, this will enable the criminal to commit a crime against you ... big money attracts crime ... and therefore they have the opportunity to hide their data, of course it is better to hide them when receiving a big win

I dont see the reason why this has to be televised, in the first place. You dont have to be a genius to understand the dangers the whole thing hides. Good for them, they went on disguise. Also good thing is, that they dont give out the whole name.

If every man has the right to remain anonymous in only 7 states of America, then i do not understand why the rest of the states forcing people to show their identity. This is an aberration or maybe it is the people and the press because need to see the winner, so as not to create suspicions. In Jamaica it's normal, is a dangerous country but in Sua there are many banks where you can keep money.

Of course maybe it is situation in Jamaica where is only one a.campbell so mask not do any good. Bur if we talk serious then of course it is good to hide your face and try to protect you and maybe family, because there are many bad people

Indeed the smaller the place, the worst it is. Unless there are a ton of jamaicans with the same last name. But even so, it is a wrong practice, and shouldnt be happen. I understand that they want to advertise, and also show to everyone, that the whole thing is done legally and randomly. But of the winners are hiding, from the camera, then the purpose is lost

in my country if you win something on national lottery you dont have to do anything if you dont want!you dont have to take pictures,dont have to give name to media,nothing!you have your privacy and that is good!but you can give your personal informations if you want!
as far as I know in Russia, too, if a person does not want everyone to know his name and his winnings, he may receive an anonymous winnings .... But this is inaccurate .... now I don’t play ... And so I don’t win .... And so I do not know the exact rules .... but it seems to me that anonymity can be observed

It's absolutely logical try hiding your identity when you win a very big prize , like a million of $$$ or more . I mean , it doesn't have to live in a place like Jamaica or another with high crime . In every country player's identity (in lottery or other similar events) should be secret , imo even for smaller wins .

The USA could be dangerous too, especially if you about to have millions in front of millions. There is a good documentary about high profile former american lottery winners. Almost every one of them regretted winning the whole thing.

probably in some countries they want to take picture with people and to have their names,to show players they can win it and that is not some scam and who know who will take money!this is big commercials for them and thats why the do,but for me this would be big no no!

They regret this thing because there is no right to anonymity. In America there is more money of course but if someone from the USA win a million dollars it was not a big problem for that man. For the others with many milllions win in the lottery yes because people can be very insensitive. Some people are even more...

A wise man would do exactly that: hide himself from the possibility of being robbed, blackmailed or maybe something even worse! A big money can bring a lot of joy, may help to our wishes come true, but it can also attract a big unfortunate events if a winner is not shrewd enough.
If I won the big money, only a few closest people would be notified about it. Not because I am tight-fisted; only because of the safety.

I would buy house on some carribean place and will be there for few months,to stay away from all people and to think on peace what to do with rest of money!its something that you can enjoy till rest of life!ofcourse not only with this 1 million to do everything,but not to work anything and to enjoy you have enough!

Maybe, but not sure how many 'safe' cities left in the caribbean, besides the obvious tourist destinations. Even there you could never be hundred percent sure you are safe.

You dont have to declare any data to the public here also. Even if you want, you can choose a lawyer to do the transaction for you. All you have to do in this case is to trust the lawyer that wont give any details about it But it is safer for the winners this way.

hahaha congratulations to the winner and very good the idea of hiding the identity with a mask xDD the truth I think it's good because sometimes when you win a prize or a very important sum you can become a victim of robbery or assault that usually happens a lot in my country only for material things (cell phone, silver, motorcycle, etc)
