A Canadian woman accused of buying a lottery ticket using a stolen credit card was arrested while she was on her way to the lottery office.

This is quite an incredible story and i am glad that they caught the woman responsible for this theft. I would think that the owner of the credit card was hoping that the prize would go to them but that is not going to be the case

That is not fair, that the owner of card wouldn't get the prize. And the Atlantic Lottery takes away the prize. I think that someone should get this winning, because winning is winning, no matter who will win. Imagine, that someone stole card to buy-in the WSOP, then will win the WSOP, what will happened? Bracelet will be give to the fund ?

Wow, real cosmos bumerang. She stole a wallet, take a money and cards, buy lottery ticket become really happy for winning 50k and then get busted for using stolen credit cards and go to prison. Lol

What a story there. It was like a payback I dont agree with the company's policy there. The money has been won. Instead of adding them in a future jackpot, they should make a donation of their choice. Or let the credit card owner, where the money will be donated.

this story is one in million!what a chance to win on lottery big amount and with stolen credit card and then police come to you!dont say that is right what she done with card and spending money from other man,but still what luck you have to have to win something and then to finish in jail is sick!
usually the casino wins ... it’s very sad that the Casino always wins ... of course, in my opinion, the win had to be given to the cardholder .... but the laws are such that they protect in the powerful of the world .... this is very sadly

I do not understand how can some people to be so stupid. When you steal a card you can not buy some shopping. When you buy a lottery ticket with a stolen card it's like you want to get to jail. If that woman was really smart she buys that ticket with cash. The stupidity cost and i hope she will get to jail because he deserve this thing.

Yes of course loke calicul say it is very stupid thing to make buy from credit card which is stole, you better take sokem money and make purchase of ticket with this money and then can say that it is your money you ise and not stolen
this criminal confirmed my theory so that basically all criminals are distinguished by a bad mind .... Now she will have time to think what she did wrong ... but it seems to me that nothing will change ... she will not increase her mind from sitting in jail .. only restriction of freedom

you take credit card from somebody and you can do whatever you want with this card,you can spend on his money on aynthing and from all things you choose to buy lottery tickets!what a crazy person you have to be to do that! and then when you win,you go to pick up this money!

There is no justice in trying to evade justice as justice will always (well, sometimes) prevail. Well done to those law enforcement officials who managed to investigate their way to get to this arrest. Let us hope that the true scales of justice will be balanced and an appropriate outcome be provided for this bad person.
