Some doubts with the MTTs/SnGs OR and 3bet range  0
Hi, I was studying a lot of material about building my hand range in different spots. I found an advise that I think that isn´t to apply in a tournament when you are below 50 BB. In that text, it writes to make a "balanced range", with the top 5 % to OR/Call/AI, the second better to make repush, the third to cold call and the forth (with some big blockers) to make a bluff. I think it´s a cash play logic...what do you say?

You have to be careful about reading star egg and ensure that you fully understand what format the advice relates to. The strategy for MTT is very different to cash games and again different to SNGs. Also MTT satellites are also very different. Keep an eye on what you are playing for in terms of prizes as that will also modify your strategy. I.e. in satellites where 50 players get the same prize, is different to the top 50 getting a different share of the payout in a standard MTT.

At MTT, of course we have no good tactical bet if we have poor stack. 50BB limitation is correct for me. But I rare found good tactical bet at low buy in at online poker, too much shove on flop or turn, lol. How is your experience ?

it seems to me that various theories poker games are specific enough and are suitable only for certain players .... for example, a player can play absolutely against theory and ultimately succeed ... everything depends on luck ... But of course, theory is worth reading .. Although this is not the rules for the game just a recommendation ... Good luck in the game

Thanks to all of you! I really need some feedback because that theory (balanced range) is really nice and easy to understand. I made some pictures of that (I will try to upload here) and I try to play it. But in the practice, it doesn´t work. I didn´t find the moment to change my TAG style, especially in the low buy-in where I played!

I agree, we need to develope our own style. I saw some player play against theory like hold AA
just limp in ( I got this trap few times) .At least sometimes we have to play different cause play theory all the time just make our opp easy to read our play.

certainly a balanced range is one of the best theories of poker games .... and many players adhere to this theory and quite successfully .... but on the other hand, quite a lot of players who play absolutely wrong .... and also succeed .. So you can accept for yourself Any theory The main thing is that it brings a profit

This subject is just too big to fit it all in one comment, i can write a book on this literally. But the short answer it would have to be IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE SITUATION, what i mean by that, u can be short stacked or chip leader, u can be the aggressor or the tight player, how deep u are in a tournament (assuming thats what we are talking about), how good are you following whats going on on your table, how many strategies you have to play same hand example AA,KK,QQ etc. and much more, but in the end it all comes down to the moment the situation u r in, and how much info u have at your disposal.
