Phil Hellmuth criticized for "going south" as he demanded money from Mike Matusow during a televised cash game at the Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles.
At the end of August, big poker stars gathered for a high stakes cash game at Live At the Bike! with JJ De La Garza as the episode's commentator.
The players were Phil Hellmuth, Mike "The Mouth" Matusow, Antonio Esfandiari, Daniel ‘Jungleman[...] Read more » LATB High Stakes Game sees Matusow Losing Big, Phil Hellmuth Blows Up and Storms Off Set

It's an amateur call of Mike Matusow with AA versus Garrett Adelstein with 76 and on the table 9, 8, T and K. Very big mistake that made him to lose all the chips at that time. You can't do that after the turn. I liked that bluff against AA of Phil Hellmuth.
Having 67 clubs when the flop coming up with 9-10-8 is like having a cheat code in a videogame - however you are looking at it, it's just not fair... I wonder what went through the guy'ss head who was holding the pair of aces. It's ridiculous.

If no bluffs were involved, he would win everything. Those hands show the problems with a big pocket pair on tricky boards. If you call with them, it can easily be a mistake, but if you fold them, it can also be a mistake.

I think this is a fairly common occurrence in poker ... I myself have had a similar situation many times .... when I have 2 cards in my hand I flop three cards that I needed ... and I also watched it of my opponents in the game .... so I don’t think it seems like some kind of fraud ... everything is fair ... in poker a variety of situations happen

It is normal to lose ourselves in this way, but usually we lose these cardss with all in. Phil Hellmuth he didn't lose all the chips and he played poorly. Sometimes you're crazy and you play modestly, to earn some extra chips, but in the end you lose your hand. Mistakes are obvious and they come depending on what gets on the flop or turn.

That is the thing with pocket aces. They dont win all the time, especially when you slow play them. I did atop way early when starting poker slow playing them. It is an all in preflop hand for me. But for the professionals in cash games probably this isnt the storey.

Well, the truth is that when you have a pair of Ace in hand, you have practically won the game but many times the flop plays you find haha if I open it past that until there are times that I am winning and the river ends up shitting everything I had been carrying it well hahaha but well they are things that happen one can not foresee the future

Their desire to get a very good stack with AA it makes you play in a way where you have a high enough chance of losing this hand. Normally Phil Hellmuth he should insult himself for the way in which he played this hand and Matusow should be ashamed.
