Wow,two big companies will be one from now and they will even come on USA market!this will bring new way of betting now!when you see that value of job is 6 billion, this tell everything and what kind of money we have in betting world!you dont see often this kind of jobs, but ofcourse it will be better for them to come as one company in USA!

The concentration continues. This merger will put pressure on other companies, especially in the online betting markets, to make mergers of their own to stay competitive. Online poker should be less affected, as Batfair and Paddypower are only minor rooms

I don't understand one thing. Owner of Paddy Power buys with $ 6 billion a competitor which is named The Stars Group but why it's called fusion? Normally, fusion occurs when they are allied but in this case Canadians sell. They will be successful anyway because they have a lot of customers.

Big news of course, and the big game got bigger for them.
Even more slices from the pie for some from the online poker world.
I dont think that this is a good situation for the players.
It is becoming a bit of monopoly here.
And when that happens then the perks for the players are getting lost...

I agree with Mober. Getting rewards for playing at Pokerstars had become harder over the last several years, particularly for the recreational grinder.

I don't see this trend changing with this monopolistic announcement, though initially there might be some celebratory offerings marking the conclusion of the deal, particularly in the sports betting division.

I think that main reason for this,is USA market and they wouldnt do this kind of job only to have big company in europe, but america is huge market and you cant fight alone, you must have big company for 300 million people!but ofcourse this will bring new things for us also and we will see good or bad!

This thing with buying of The Star Group also involves buying of the poker room, casino or other games owned by the Canadian company. They will make a profit in a few years because they bought with 5 billion and now and now they sell for 6. During these years they also had a profit here.

Welp, at least we no longer have to curse at Amaya whenever something go wrong with Stars, but seeing that all these other companies have great betting promos every month I think they will re-up PS' marketshare with some great promo material soon.

This corporation The Stars Group Inc. it was called in the past Amaya Inc., Amaya Gaming Group Inc. and Rational Group. Unfortunately for them they were not so rational with the players and they made bad decisions... Their sports or poker betting software need to be changed.

What interests me here is to see more good games and more promotions, bonuses or free games.
Only in this way Pokerstars will bring the players back to the tables. I'm not interested in who the employer is. I want to see something beautiful as it was in the past.

I doubt that there will be much changes to the poker rooms involved. They are only the minor part of the deal. The main focus in this merger lies on the bookies of the two groups of companies. There a new big player will be created, that can keep up with the big boys like bwin/Party.

Well I had already said something in this post I think but just as I pass by again commenting on something more as always, the truth is not much of the subject but apparently it seems something big at first glance ... without more to say I see them later colleagues Cool Cool Cool

This is something that can turn out in two different ways depending on how they want to deal with things. Either the poker platforms will be uneffected by this or players will see a decrease of promos and freebies. When a huge company gets more and more influence over something, things generally turns out bad for the customers. No need to offer good promos when you have noone to really compete with. I doubt this will be an exception.

dont understand why anybody talking about poker, when main ting is betting and how they will react on that part of gambling!and most of this companies are for betting and casino games, not for poker,no matter that poker stars is part of it!so for now, this has nothing with poker part!

Now i see very well who does not understand what it is about in some threads. This is about poker too because they also buy the poker room. There may be a price for fusion in all areas and here includes the Pokerstars room. Read the thread again and maybe this time you can see better than you read last time. Smile

If they have even a modicum of brain they will have all these sites where they offering a poker client as well join the stars' network right away. Different client but the same network would make better outcomes for everyone.
