As of next year there may not be any more rebuy events at the World Series of Poker according to WSOP Communications Director Seth Palansky. It is been said that organizers are considering getting rid of the rebuy events after getting complaints by some concerned players.
"There is a movement to not have any rebuy events," said Palansky. "There is the growing concern that a pro can buy a bracelet[...] Read more » There might not be any rebuy events in the 2009 WSOP

If you play in a rebuy tournament, your bankroll has to allow to play in that tournament. If you know your limits, i don't see a problem to play in rebuy tournaments. So i think the same way like Layne Flack. More rebuy, more prize

There's nothing wrong with A rebuy, and A add-on. Un-limited rebuys before first break kinda encourages suck outs which I hate with a passion...
I played in the Action Poker 1k 6 handed tourney last night, came 4th with just one add-on at the break. This one guy was determined to suck out on me in the first hour... I took 5000 chips off him (cost him $55) - you should of seen the cards he was playing - so sick.

Rebuy does add value to the prize but I like this. All players should have equal opportunities and starting positions in tournament. No rebuys, no addons, no nothing. Here is your chip stack and show us what you can do with it. Period. At least not for the bracelet.

course Negreanu is against it, he is thinking dam it, im a f***ing gambler, if it wasnt a rebuy i wouldnt be able to put in $80K in rebuys, lol. Nah just teasing he is a great player. But the way he plays i bet you hed rather see a $100K buyin tournament at the WSOP , rebuys are fine as long as you have the bankroll, and unfortunately it does make for loose play first blind levels, but as long as you have a few rebuys, and you play tight you can normally do well off the loose players. So im pro rebuy, wouldnt mind seeing them out of the WSOP though as i think FZout shows more skill.

Sounds good to me, OK 1 add 1 re-buy is fine, but hopefully this will stop the donkoff and the loaded ppl from being idiots. Daniel complains and says he likes to gamble, thats fine go play in the casinos, poker is ment to have skill, not a gambling game.

If you enter a rebuy tourney you should have the money in your bankroll to rebuy. Otherwise play in a freezeout. You want people with money to rebuy over and over. That makes your payout higher if you cash. You can only rebuy if you go under a set amount of chips. You can't buy a stack you still have to create one. The same rules apply to all players, no "shame" in the rebuy game
