It is not about putting more money at one table but playing one table. I have noticed that most of the players multitabling play too tight and cards only. Some school bluffs if they miss on rag flop but that`s it. When there are 3 players like that on 10 seater or 2 on 6 seater, they force others into the same type of play and it looks like some computer game where you have to choose based on YOUR cards only. IMO thats not poker. I watched that player who got accused that he is a bot because he played too many tables, Khan, and from what i saw he proves exactly that. He did not try to play too much out of his cards even when he played 1 table only, something what Nguyen is not doing and what Scotty mastered, he is prepared and able to win a hand with 7-2off if he finds a spot.

You totally right predobar.

But for newbees like me they need to improve their game and for now i make more profit multitabling then playing only 1 table.
Also with only 1 table i get bored and play too many hands.

But for sure your right and in future i want to do 2 tables max and get a higher roi.

I play when I have time for it. Usually once or twice a week. 1-2 hour sessions in cash tables.

Believe me when I say that You will improve not only your game but "poker personality" much more by playing one or 2 tables only. When I started playing, my tilt could last entire day, now tilt last 3.5 seconds. You say you get bored on 1 table, that is exactly the result what multitabling produces, You think that only thing interesting in poker is your hole cards, I don`t get bored on active table even if don`t get some worthy hand for long time because of 2 things. 1st is that I use that time to learn about others playing patterns, holes in their games and weaknesses and once I complete the "survey" on the table I can put 2nd reason in place, using that what I have learned about their play for my benefit with various methods. Most of them I could not use if i were multitabling, nor would I learned how to use them. I will compare it to elementary, high school or college. It is as if you would listen to 5 or 6 different classes at the same time, after such day at school your knowledge level remains the same because you cannot learn a thing from noise created. Trust me on this one. Even if you cannot find a hole in someones play at first keep trying, everyone has it, including me or you. Some are easier to find than others, some are shown on purpose by experienced players. That`s real poker, not odds. Cards are there just to determine the winner if there is a showdown.

Your so fokin absolutely right.
This is one of my goals in the new year, better better better readings, better better better play.
I make profit but thats the only thing i can say, i am a newbee and just a littl better then ''the average player'', thats why i make ''average profit''.
I will stick to the sit n go for sure for now, will improve my play.
Maybe in the future will play also mtt's but for now just sng's and with better play trying to get better results.

------------
Btw predobar i need a tool for sng, what showes how tight a player is, what perc hands he plays is there any? I play on PKR so it must fit there.

I dont know does Poker office support PKR but i think not. PO offer those live stats but i rarely use them at all, now i use it just to keep track of my play and to see if there is any above average profitable player at the table but that is it. It has nice stats on various things but I use it as history analyzer more than live tracking tool. Hand replayer and stuff like that I find more useful than pure stats.

Do you take notes whilst playing doomdy? 1-2 tables should not be hard to place ppl on style of play and range, you could just wright it on a pad, like a little tally chart, but if you add notes then the next time you meet you have an advantage.
Predobars so right about finding holes, in cash games you can offten just pick on 1 person and make a nice profit, i guess its the same for sng milk the weak and take notes on the strong players spot the folder!!!! Blink

Yes i have many notes.
At PKR i play 50% against same players every day i know who is tight, a bluffer, stealer ect.
My result are better against players i know then unknown players.
There are many players playin utra tight in doubles very easy to steal blinds with low risk, just a min raise wud do it.

Yeah you gotta love those doubles and how people play them Big Smile but i get bored pretty quick and thats the only reason why i dont play them. Notes are good, but do you keep notes on what will put some players out of the balance? try that for those that have good record against you and spend some chips in early stages trying to accomplish that if he/she is your worst enemy at the table, might prove profitable.

That's an excellent idea Predobar, your entire post actually. Good way to "tighten up your game" I think.
