Have played a few freerolls and when there are few players, sometime registered players that do not logg inn get "in the money". It is not so funny for players the just misses the paid places.
Is this just another strategy, or should the players at least logg in to get money in a freeroll (logg in and then sit-out).
I planed to make a Poll, but had to few posting so far. Anyway here are the Poll I made: - Yes, immediately - Yes, after 3 rounds of blinds - Yes, after the first blind increase - Yes, in the first break. - No, just another startegy

yea this sitting outs sucks. in the first break is fine i think.
yesterday ive been playin a $500 freeroll at pp and all were sitting out. all i had to do was call, and after i had their chips i got moved to another table with sitting out players. funny part is, i was chipleader with 60k after 15mins. but its so boring...
but to your problem because you didnt get in the money: i guess you played to many hands ? how come they got in the money and you not

Handled differently by the rooms. At Everest those players are removed after a few orbits. At some rooms those players are blinded away and lose if they are finally all-in. At other rooms the all-in hands are played normaly.
I didn't see any freerolls where you can get paid being away. So please name the room. That means that the other players are so stupid that they can't avoid it. Please make the poll as you planned (press add poll) so that we could see the statistics.

If your on the bubble and dont make it to the money because everyone is sitting out , its your own damn fault tbh lol! i would love to play and 15.000 GTD where everybody is sitting out

at most of the rooms, medvedev. but as i mentioned before, if you dont get in the money but sittin out players then its your own fault once i also got paid out even tho i wasnt playin one single hand. was too tired so i went to the couch to chill a bit but i aslept. few hours later i got a congratulation mail that i got in the money

First, I would love to make the poll, but must have 20 posting first (have only 6).
The room I played in was Full Tilt Poker and I won the tourney . While playing I taged 3 players on my table that had not logg in. These players ended in 12 to 14 place and gave them 100$. 18 places got paid.
The reason for my involment now, was that two players when all-in preflop with AA and KK, and of-course one got eliminated before making the money. Was it bad play to go all-in before making the money?!
I played more safely and dit not go all-in before the flop so early in the tournament. But it is not unormal play from these two players.

ok thats a good point. i think those who sit out shouldnt get in the money at all.

Totally agree with. Sit outs suck. Kick them out after 3 blinds. Poker is for players not for easy money seekers. i hope your remark will make a difference.
Ive always thought players shouldnt be seated as sitouts they should have to actively sit at the table and show up, if they dont show up theyre automatically eliminated.. Ive seen people at tables all to themselves with sitouts taking advantage, while others are forced to play properly and be unfairly behind, or at least distribute them evenly so that there are equal numbers of active players at each table.

I think you cant handle freerolls other then normal (buyinn) mtt's. So no just do it the normal way the disc people will bust out eventually. Its very anying many disc people in a freeroll but its just the way it is.

i think if you dont log in before the third level ends you should be removed from the freeroll, sometime around 50% of people dont show up, which sucks for people who didnt register in time because the tourny was at full capacity.

If you think there is no problem then you have never seen one away player win one all-in after another. They are in the BB and win with junk, next round again, and again...Meanwhile other players bust out left and right.
