Yes, I think in the same way. That´s a good initiative in a micro world of lone wolf, where it could probe how caring can be the players who only think about their bankroll. I wish it works very well, because all the help is welcome. And, in the other hand, it might change the idea about the selfishness of those who play for money. Good luck!

It is a wonderful idea when powerful people donate money and the organizers attract from various sources such as Party Poker many donations. People can also contribute to making life easier, under the conditions of this COVID 19, which is just a flu.

dule-vu . Every charity event is important , either it's for all the countries in the world , especially the very poor with many people in need , or for one country , either it's for one poor country or for a rich country . In all countries there is people suffering , even in the more advanced and wealthy states , like the UK The money will be for good cause , I wish every success to this charity tournament

It´s a good example that may be copied in other poker´s room and countries, and it has a little trap inside: All the players continue playing! They didn´t ask to colaborate with the pandemia making an extra effort. You only have to keep playing despite the low prizes. So, if that could change the opinion about the poker´s player and the game in general, is good business!

I agree with you and I know that will be for good cause, but dont understand why party poker make this only for UK and not for other countries, especially poor!UK have so much money, they are out of EU because they didnt want to give money on EU budget just for other countries, like croatia, bulgaria, romania and now somebody collect money for them, yeah right! look whats happening in africa, especially in kenya with grasshopper!two million of them are there and they will eat all food, people will die because of that!so this is much bigger problem then this and they need big help!

There is always a situation where these charitable works could be abolished because in some cases governments should allocate money to help with this. There would be no need for other companies or people to make meetings and donate money. Governments do not give as much as they need and others like PP they are generous.

A good thing seeing such happenings. Donating there is a must. They are the people in the front line in the current crisis. The buy in is gonna limit a few people for entering, not for all pockets. Unless they have low entry qualifiers

Agreed dule-vu there are better places/countries in the EU that need more help than the UK , also many countries in the rest of the world , which are in humanitarian crisis , and these corona virus made it even harder for many people to win their living , their bread everyday . The deaths , the restrictions , the fear and panic . Personally I would choose a country with extreme poverty or countless victims because of this virus to donate for directly or by taking part in a campaign , special tournament , fund raising , etc

I´m suspicious person, a bit. So I think that Party Poker are making this move for a reason beyond the charity, I don´t know what: brand posicioning in some group of countries or some kind of business agreement, I don´t know. If it was only for the good action, I think like you are saying. They could make a fund for all the peolpe who needed

We are all suspicious because around the world are many companies with more money that do not offer help. Some owners simply do not want to donate, but sometimes a small amount or greater it is very useful and people they must be generous.

Yes dule-vu , 80% of the salary of people , who are forced staying away from their work these days , is given by the UK government these days . They have the money to pay so much to all these people . But in other countries , more poor or less advanced , especially if they are dealing with much more victims by corona virus , copared to the UK , the need for help , any kind of help , is really urgent .
I hope some of the money from charity events worldwide , from poker tournaments for that cause or from other campaigns , fundraising tours , etc , to go to these poor countries . Not that the people in countries like the US or the UK don't also need help these days , but people in other countries need more help

its great for people who work hard to earn this salary, because now they will stay at home with their family and will get 80 % of what they earn in one month,so they will not have any expense to go from home,to spend when they work and this is great for them!ofcourse for economy isnt great, but at least people will have something!thats why I say that lot of people in other countries need this money more then in UK!

For how long government in the United Kingdom will still be able to pay this money to the workers who get affected by the crisis I don't know , but as long as it happens it is indeed a great measure to support especially the poor workers . Charity toyrnaments help a lot . Besides Partypoker , also RIU site had a charity event , with many great names participating on it . Also recently ACR had a charity toyrnament to help feeding people in the US , especially these corona virus days . On ACR many great players participatyed , such as Helmuth (he reached FT) , I think also dolly , and others . Very nice initiative !!!!!
