Nearly three months have passed since The Entertainment Capital of the World has been shut down due to the worldwide pandemic, and now casinos in Las Vegas are set to reopen come June 4.
Nevada experienced two consecutive weeks of reduced numbers in new coronavirus cases and hospitalizations in the state and, assuming that goes on, Governor Steve Sisolak has set a tentative date, June 4, to final[...] Read more » Las Vegas Casinos to Reopen on June 4

Let's see where this goes. At least I didn't hear about looting in Vegas, otherwise the reopening could be quite interesting. I think that in places like New-York or Los-Angeles they will keep casinos closed for a while just to be on the safe side... Anyway, hope this is a good sign of the world getting back to normal finally

Well .... I read one million times , on the news post , the ''social distancing '' phrase , that's very interesting I have to say , indeed . Good to know With all this social distancing , I wonder how much funny will be to play live at a casino . Online you play almost only for money , but live is another thing . You go to play live at a casino alsoto have fun with the social communication , with the other plyers , not to mention some other activities before and after the games So , with plexiglass dividers , social distancing , yes , playing at a casino will be lots of fun these days , lol ,

Really fast, don´t you think? They had only two weeks with some less infection and they go to open their Casinos? United States is the country with more case and diseas in the world, and they are worry about the casinos? I understand the Las Vegas situation, they “are” the casinos. But it still make me afraid for their life…I hope they have good luck and all may be fine for all of them!

Adequate hygiene in casinos is always necessary, but now after COVID 19 the measures taken will be better, because they are required by law. I'm curious what losses they had after so much inactivity (almost three months). I think in the first day after L A Cas... reopening. it will be full.

Hygiene is not enough of someone has the virus and he breathes it into the ventilation or air-conditioning system. One guy at a restaurant for more than 30 people sick just from breathing the same air. I have no clue how they will take care of that. Even if I'll go to a restaurant it will be only to sit at tables that are in the open are and now in an air conditioned environment.

seems that some members dont read everything,as always:
The Nevada Gaming Commission approved new guidelines for reopening the state's 400+ casino venues. These new guidelines state that the casino would operate 50% its capacity, enforce social distancing on all people, and require frequent cleaning of surfaces and other facilities.

Again. This is all very nice - the social distancing and extra cleaning, but none of this would help is the ventilation system doesn't kill the herbs while they are circulating I'd a sick person would infect others just by being in the same room with them, the pandemic will just go on killing people. I guess we will all soon find out.

In this case it is enough because COVID 19 is a world joke and people realized that. The important thing is that casino reopens because there are a lot of people who live from it, including players. Cleanliness should be maintained and people should protect themselves as much as they can.

Corona had a terrible affect on many industries. Travel, restaurants, music, cinemas, even advertisment and real estate. Many millions are unemployed and the economic situation is just going to get worse. So, casinos shouldn't be treated differently - is you can open them without putting public health in danger than they should open, v if not, they should wait a little more, like everyone else

These governments should pay compensation to those who ruined it, lost money or didn't have too much supplies due to walking restrictions. Casinos lost money, but they are doing well financially. Ordinary citizens suffered the most, but politicians should be in their service, not to be masters.

You are right. You see the government that are there to serve their citizens (mostly Far East and Western Europe) are compensating the regular people enough to get the whells of the economic vehicles to start moving forward again. In other countries (and unfortunately over here as well) most of the compensation goes to the already Billionares, which just get the politicians funded enough to keep their chairs. I hope things will turn around soon and it will be us again who are the center of attention for the poeple in charge.

Wont be easy for the business to hit highs as it used to. Not only th coronavirus disease is not over, besides that they are "relaxing" the measures in most countries and places, but there are also the ones being precautious and dont want to risk it yet going out to the public, especially in places where there is a crowd and that crap "social distancing" is just a word...

It is a problem, and it will not be solved until there is a vaccine, around a year from now. We will all be hit by a recession and it is going to be a very tough year to many people. Many businesses will have to take a big breath and hope they have enough air to keep breathing until the wave sink, a year from now.

This vaccine should be called corona-stupidity because he is not a savior and many peoples don't know about it. Once you have done will be directly injected with coronavirus(COVID19). People have a few months to meditate and of course until then... they have to work and spend their money in casino or other needs.

On another forum , I took the side of the (re-elected ) mayor in Las Vegas , who wanted to reopen the the casinos again some weeks ago . Polk talked against her (forgetting some of his nice posts for this crisis , such as this ) , at the thread I read aggressive comments . Now that casinos have opened or will open in the very near future , they just welcome these news , maybe some of them with a little sceptisism .

they must be careful with this, because if number of people with virus will grow up,they will close again everything (no matter do you believe in corona or not ) and then economy, jobs and everything will be in problems again and people will be out of money!so thats why they need to open everything slowly and to be sure that we will not have problems!
