For me no music at all.
I love music and find it far to distracting. Occasionally I will listen to the cricket cause you can ignore it for most of the time and just drop in for the score once in a while.

Sometimes turn the Hardstyle DI.Fm channel on or some other internet radio station. Depends, though I'm not playing as a living or anything so I'm not too concerned. But whatever, sometimes silence can be bad and sometimes it can be good.

agreed with doomdy, it's best not to have any other distractions. But, if you are going to listen to music, try not to make it anything too up beat as it can effect your game in the wrong way...

Sound of silence suits me the best. Although, if silence is not possible, than music might be solution to get away from noise that would otherwise distract you more.

Posted by noobyfish: no i dont listen while playing poker...
i think i have to concentrate much about my cards.
i play with real money... it is important to have full attention on the game i play.
Yes noobyfish good point its real money not play money. Offcourse we play cos we like the game right? But we want max profit and min looses right? You cant listen too music and really concentrate on good play.

well thats true. you cant listen to music and focus on your play at same time.
but to some people it might help tho.
like i said, if its a slow table and or I dont get cards then i lose my patience and tend to watch cards i usualy never would do. music helps me to calm down and wait for my moment.....

Hey pals, i think for some it might work the other way round, as it does for me. Music helps me concentrate, especially classical stuff - most important is no bass and no lyrics. So put me on Vivaldi`s Four Seasons and i`ll beat the living daylights out of you... Greetz!
Yes, it's very rare to play musics which I choose for my playlist because I have too much & don't have time to search which ones. So the solution I found is to listen to local online radios very often while playing poker & I discovered it's pretty better.

watch tv usually but as my music is mostly only metal and techno i do relise my mindset changes when listening to some of the harder stuff and play alot more aggressive then i usually do, cant do it in live poker 2 much concentrating, calculating and reading other players is distracting enough

I beleave this is very individual, i feel better with music in my ears so therefor i can also enjoy myself much more at the table wich should result in better result. I think it helps a lot when theres not that much action, you don't getting tired or anythingthat easy, at least not if you're listening to uplifting music. But the thing is you can't concentrate on music at all, it's just there in the background, you must still keep all focus on table, and when playing live keeping one ear free of music is a pretty smart choice.
