Paired flops??  0
What would you do here...
NLH-.10/.20 ($20 stack)
AJs in mid position, 2 limpers, you raise to 1.50 and all call (bb,sb 2 limps)
flop is j88r, sb checks bb bets $2 both limpers call....(pot now @ $15)
What would you do and why?

So many players. I would call here, you have position. And you can see what they do on the turn. No value in reraising.

so many caller and a pair 8´s on the board...nightmare
fold/all in is out of question.
i join geneyuss. call and see what they do on the turn.

Yes, seems to me the less dangerous bet ( call, I mean ).

It's not a big bet to see following card and hope to set a full. Blink

Please, bigfoot, tell us what happened.

you sould call, two over cards and u have position, if u miss the turn try then and buy the pot

This is a shitty situation. The bet on the flop looks really strange. A straightdraw is possible. And we have 3 or 4 opponents.

All in is silly. We only get called by an eight (or an idiot). Fold with 2pair and top kicker is to weak. So we have to call or raise. If we just call we still don't know where we stand and may allow players with overcards or T9 to see the turn cheaply. But if we raise we are playing a bigger pot than our handstrength allows.

So i don't think there is a simple sollution. A lot depends on what we think that smallish bet by the BB means. Is he testing the waters or does he try to suck the other players in with an eight in his hand.

i would call 2. second best possible hand on flop...

I went for the all in, if i called I dont think i could have called the river if 10 9 7 q or k come id have to fold,
As i think i had the best hand, dont belive anyone had the 8 i think all in, dont want to make a harder dession on the turn or let them catch.
Thinking they had worse hands than me i wanted value I was gong to raise but thought if I get re-raised I have to call, so went all in.
Was called by 1 of the limpers who showed 77, my hand held.
Im suprised so many say flat call, expected raise....

this is too scary to go all in because you said "all call". so i was sure someone has a 8 (i always got that luck).
but if i rethink, then your right to call all in...$15 pot/$5 stack left. still scary... Smile

$13.50 pot, $18.50 stack behind. All in is a pretty risky play to see if you're hand is good. And considering the action on the flop, I'm surprised your hand was best. There is no value in reraising, you're only going to get called by a better hand unless like shokaku said, you're playing against an idiot. Calling on the flop let's you get away if you see raise and reraise on the turn. And even if one of them had 9,10 , one had j,4 and the other had 77, than they have less than 15% chance to hit on the turn. But if instead the player with j4 had 8,4, you would drawing dead to a jack or runner runner.

its pretty hard to judge with us not knowing the table players, but i would call for sure, i wouldnt put anyone on an 8 but maybe a pkt overpair but there was a few callers so id be a bit carefull, call or raise to $4 or $6, any callers then and i would be worried. Blink

fold would be my option to risky with so many callers mayb call depending on stack/pot/players style at my table but so many people call a raise preflop with ace 8, is it really worth chasing another jack? but as u said he only had 7s but majority of the time the worst does happen and they have the damn 8 but so many muppets who think they got pockets and theres a pair on the board think its there 2 pair and cant be beat and u crush them on trips the joys of poker some times

Well rather tricky situation but I don't think I would have just called. The calling stations might have 8 but usually they have a pocket pair or Ax so I would try to punish them.

Thats my line of thinking mededev, glad im not alone, most of these players are week and loose without cause, think my odds were 40%fav and odds of someone flopping set with 1 hole card is 1 in 9 i think, aa kk qq was my worry but no one repesented a strong hand so i ruled that out too, so expected week J* or mid-low PP.

It's nice to see when someones agree with you. Actually if you call then the pot becomes big and it will be hard to fold on turn even if there will be a scaring card.

I would of gone all in only if I'm last to act and no1 else raised, I would just call if there is ppl to act after me. If any1 had an 8 they would bet at least 3/4 of the pot to chase away the possible open ended str8 draw. 2$ bet with that much ppl in the hand is just a tester bet while holding a hand that can improve. If he had J8 or JJ or 88 he would of checked and let ppl like u bet into him and ppl with 9/10 catch up.

B1gfoot, the only problem I see is; $20 stack. You bet $1.50 preflop and if you want to raise flop than you pretty much have to put $18.50 in there and it's just a risky play. It's possible to raise smaller on flop but what do you do if someone reraises or calls?

That was my problem to be honest, i was going to raise less but then what??
What do you think the raise should have been.

I wouldn't have raised, just a bad situation to raise. You could raise $6-$8 but it puts you in a very tough spot if someone calls or reraises.

I did a lot of reserch on this hand.
Due to position, players, pot etc the right move was to raise to $10????!!!
But with the intention to shove or call a re-raise.
