exelente player, win that amount of bracelets is crazy, only good players do it and he is one of them and still wants more, you can see that he likes what he does and is not satisfied with what he has, that's why he has these great results, every time he wants more, a great.

Congratulations to him , he really deserves it , a very talented player in his pursuit for perfection . He wants it all , he wants to be remembered as one of the best of the game , and he is doing fine for this purpose . Bracelet no16 just came , now he has 6 more than the others in second place , a good lead in .

This year Helmuth has a great run in wsop. Yesterday was playig another final table and he loose heads up for his 17th bracelet. The guy who wins the tourney wins it 3 times in a row i tink. But Phil Helmuth also had i think his 5th final table on this year wsop. I think people give him less credit that he deserve he is a still great player.

WOW , he was HU and lost the chance for a 17th bracelet ?? Now that's news , I will go and read an arrticle about this on internet . Hellmuth is a great player , but ofcourse you cannot win a tourney easily , and nowadays things are harder than in the past , too many pros and regs , fish are very few , and stalkers and ''poker snipers'' for sure it would be a pleasure for them to do damage to a great player , just for fun by calling loose , aggressive call kind of , lol

a great player, so far he has more bracelets than anyone else, a player to admire, many would like to have one at least, so it is admirable what Helmuth has achieved in his poker career.

He straste very young, where there were small number of players, but still great success!

So close to get his 17th bracelet , now that would be a story if he had managed so close one FT after the other to get his second bracelet in this WSOP and increase the lead in from the second guys in bracelet leaderboard to 7 . Be HU and lose this opportunity is really very sad in a tourney , FT and for sure HU is not so easy

yes, you are right, Antonis

this player is a great example of perseverance and a lot of work behind all this, it is not easy to get those titles in poker as this great player has done, and he still wants more, I think he will get more titles.

He play his game, love to insult other players, but thats his style!

He says that his achievable lifetime target is to win 24 bracelets , hmmm , not impossible , but yes , it is very difficult imo .
He is now how old ? 59 ?? For how much more time , years , he intends to play efficiently , 10 ?? 15 ??
efficiently it would be hard . 8 more bracelets ...hmm time will prove me rwong maybe ....

In 30 younger years he won 16 , in 15 old or very old years he will win 8 ... Ofcourse experience is one thing , but GTO players who have solved the game nowadays are out there . Pesonally I believe if he wins 19th bracelet in the next 10 years , he must be more than satisfied Smile

it's hard but Phil has good chances...

It's very hard to accomplish this 24 bracelets goal in the next years , but you never know I wish him good luck .
Maybe if he used more and better his abusive speech during HU so as not to lose such opportunities to win a bracelet like recently , lol .
he won 3 bracelets in 1993 , 2 in 2003 and 2 in 2012 , besides that he seems to win a bracelet evrey 3 years on average ...
