Best and worst hands  0
Which are your best and worst hand in poker?

For me - I hate AK. I know, that they are good odds, but for me, I won with them maybe only in 10% games.
On the other hand - I love AQ. I know, that they statistically worse than AK, but they lucky for me Blink

Best: AA and suited aces
Aces should be clear. The nut flush has a lot of multiplayer value..

Worse: The usual problem hands. AK, AQ, AJ and middle to high pocket pairs JJ to 77
Good pre flop value, but depending on the flop can be tricky to play. If it goes all-in pre flop, it is usualy a flip with those hands.

well yeah,AA are best!

Nobody can say that AA is not the best hand. Now if you mean statistically you've done poorly with strong hands, that's weird. You should take a large number of hands to see if you have indeed gone wrong.
To get out of picking AA, KK, QQ, I like suited connector hands (67s, 89s, TJs). That style
I think it depends a lot on what game we play (the range of hands is different depending on what we play).
I'm very careful with AJo, ATo, KJo hands. Depending on the position, there are times that I like them, and others not so much

Yeah, what to expect more then AA!

Today I had to face many AA, or sometimes see how AA faced against some other hand, and ended up losing. In most cases, AA lost because it was misplayed the hand.
So beyond the hand that is (and its result) it is necessary to see if one has played it well, or has played it badly.
That said, in my case I don't hate AK in any way. I want that hand always haha

I no longer value the best or the weakest hands, because you can lose or win with both. Two aces can eliminate you or with 2 and 7 you can win by luck, or by bluff. It is important to organize your strategy to win many hands ...

Well, in general, yes, I agree that AA is the best combination, and if it is also backed up with aces, then there will be a cannon-race in general! And as they rightly said, any hands are bad if they beat you. But most of all, of course, I am afraid of AA, also bad combinations AK, AQ, AJ. Big Smile Big Smile

to start hand with every other card with A is good,we all would play on it!

Hahaha I read this and I remember a hand I had today. I open KK into HJ, and BB ends up calling with 82o. Obviously it was a fish in microlimits.
He could never play a hand like 82nd from any position. In this case Villain flopped his two pair, and unfortunately I lost a big pot.
Those are hands that hurt, but beyond the result, one has to analyze if he played it well or badly.
As you say, any hand can beat anyone. In this case the villain chose to play the 2nd worst hand in the game haha and he was lucky.

Yeah,its crazy hand!

It is, but when things like this happen I just take notes from the villain. Over time I have learned not to tilt, although sometimes it is difficult (when there are several hands in a row like those I mentioned before). In that case, set a limit on how much to lose per day, and if the day is going bad, stop playing.

Its hard to set limit when you are on tilt!

Today I was able to play several tournaments on PS, in the micro millions events. I played a 5.5 KO, and I eliminated a player.
Within a few hands I had KK, and I faced 2 villain pushes. One had KK too, and the other had AQ. The flop was 9JQ (possible flush that favored only me). 62.5% for me. Of course I lost the hand when another Q came on the turn haha.
I was able to recover, but lost a few minutes later.
Anyway, I did well in another event in Omaha.

I hate AQ , even suited this hands leads many times only to troubles . Strange spots , should you call , reshove , fold , what are the odds ?? Many times bad beats against AK , that's very common I would say . Most of the times that I lost deep in a tourney were with AQ or AJ .

AK is also a hand that you think you are in good position especially shortstacked , the decision to go for it , shove is easy , bit still many forget that it is a simple drawing hand , Vs many other hands it's a flip , almost 50 50 . I hate when I see AK Vs AA , it drives me crazy . I have a hand on ACR where 3 out of 6 players had AK lol (one of them was me lol ) .

I try to play more the suited connectors , 910s , 87s but even one gap suited connectors , I learn more about them , trey are stronger in many cases , good to shove in spots , I want to learn to play better such hands

Most players nowadays play with the RNG , prefixed scenarios , you really need to have studied and watched many tables if you want to play seriously online

Many hands you play them one way you lose . You play them another way you win . I see some crazy moved that get rewarded by RNG , do e shove small pairs early position many blonds , other call in late positions with prepium PP only to lose , want to learn how to do these tricks lol

In my case I usually play cash NL 6max. That way it's easier for me to control the hand ranges of others.
AQs seems like an excellent hand to me, almost from any position. AQo, already the situation changes.
AK, AQ are very good hands, but obviously if you don't connect on the flop (or you can't improve your hand on the turn) you shouldn't overvalue your hand.
By the way, a few days ago I lost a huge pot in a KO tournament as follows: me(KK) HJ, cut off(KK) and BB(AQo). All in preflop, and BB wins the hand with a set of Qs
