The best blind structure for freerolls?  0
For freerolls, what do you consider the best tournament structure? With starting chip stack, blind levels, etc?

If the amount is important, it will be in the $/€ 100-200 range, so not a huge prize though. But if the tournament structure is good, maybe it will work for $500-$1500 freerolls as well?

Let's find out what the ultimate tournament structure is Smile

100 starting chips
1 minute blinds
We shouldn't take it too serious.

1500 starting chips
7 min blinds
Multitabel

Don't want to use to much time on a lower range freeroll. On the other side I don't want pure luck to dominate the freeroll.

1000-1500 stack
10-20
15-30
20-40 etc
5mins blind increase

1500 starting chips, 7 min blinds,.

hmmm just because it's a freeroll doesn't mean it should be any different from a standard tourny. 1500 starting chips, 10 minute blinds tends to be the standard.

i usually like a quicker blind structure, and prefer it if you start with 1000 chips, 1500 is ok and 2000 is too much to start with

So it seems that 1500 starting chips and maybe 8 minute blind structure is okay?

sounds good to me. Big Smile

Like Ongame's MAD TILT ALL IN tourneys. Start with 10/20 blinds and a stack of 60. Winner takes it all. Length of the blindlevels should not be a factor. Big Smile

It would depend on who its for, new players or not and how big a field would be involved.
If new players pay out 3 ppl per table, so 100players = 30 payouts. (10 man tables)
If already depositing players 2 places per table.
2 hrs is plenty of time, 5 min breaks 40 mins
2000 starting chips, blinds up every 7 mins
level SB BB Time (with around 100 players)
1 5 10 +0:00
2 10 20 +0:07
3 15 30 +0:14
4 20 40 +0:21
5 30 60 +0:28
6 50 100 +0:35
7 75 150 +0:42 break
8 100 200 +0:49
9 150 300 +0:56
10 200 400 +1:03
11 400 800 +1:10
12 600 1200 +1:17
13 1000 2000 +1:24
14 1500 3000 +1:31 break
15 2000 4000 +1:38
16 3000 6000 +1:45
17 5000 10000 +1:52
18 8000 16000 +1:59
19 10000 20000 +2:06
20 20000 40000 +2:13
21 30000 60000 +2:20

I'd say 1500 stacks and 10 min blinds increase or 8 but 5 is fking turbo and i hate seeing people with fking large stacks just go all in all the time at the end

At least 10 mins for the blinds to increase in good enough & for the stacks 1500 or 2000 as I hate 1000 Angry that's all Thumbs Up

1500 starting stack and 8 min blinds sounds good for $100-$200. But if it's like $500-$1500 freeroll I think 10 min blinds are better.

I like the PokerStars structure with 1500 stack, 10 minute blinds starting at 10/20.

At my local pokerclub we play with 5000 in chips, blinds starting at 25/50 30 minute blinds in the first 2 levels, 20 after that. i like that stucture for live games, but for internet games it might be a bit dull.

I agree with Admin: 1500 stack, 8 minutes blind but I would prefer to start with 10 - 20 Blink

Agree with the 8 minute blinds (5 min would be good too). But if registration is not restricted to under 500, i'd like to see 1000 starting chips.

Then again if we're talking about $1500 freeroll, even $1500 with 10 min blinds sounds good. (free money is always good though, just have to have the patience to play for it) Big Smile
