How much money did you fork out before you started making more money than you were losing? For me I'd say at least one to two thousand dollars, but this was because I played lots of free rolls, I could of lost a lot more if it weren't for them

I deposited 50$ 4-5 times over a small year then I started to break even but I have also been using tight bankroll management right from the beginning So a total 200-250$
At the lowest micro stakes I think everyone can atleast break even if they use common sense and patience

I started playing on pokerstars play money sit and gos. I lost my play money bankroll many times but I would just buy back in with 1k or 2k chips you get free. Everytime I got 10k chips, I would buy in to the 10k chip tournament. If I lost I would start again, if I won I would buy in for the next level. Than eventually I made it to 50k and 80k buy ins and build my stack to 500k, 600k. My chips continued to grow and one day I made it to 15mill in chips.
I Found out I could sell the the play chips and sold them for $150. That's pretty much how I started my bankroll. I think the experience I gained from this was more important than the $150. My advice to new players; get a free bankroll, don't invest your own money. Than you can play your game and not worry about going broke.

I played almost all the free bankrolls from this website. This is what it took me in order to be profitable. As geneyuss said, it is a good thing not to have put my own money in there... but at the same time it can sometimes be bad because it doesnt really bother you to lose and you're often more ready to gamble since its not "your own money"...

I read somewhere about people selling their play money. They got $10 for 1 million play chips, they sold it through Ebay. I really dont understand why people would ever pay for that ... why not just play with the $10 ??!!!?? I ran my full tilt play money up to over a million a couple of times but I would keep coming home drunk and go busto Actually I did the same with free poker bankrolls for a while as well .. luckily I found LOADS i could request when I googled for 'free poker bankrolls', requested simply all of those and went busto again and again when I got home drunk. Finally deposited some money myself (like a true donk) and finally learned the value of the money and not gone busto since !! Still I learned a ton by using the free bankrolls from bankrollmob and stuff.

im still no profitable player... thats why i keep playin freerolls to gain more experience. but im confident im gonna be soon cos in the last 30 days ive been like 20 times in the money and least 6-7 times on final table - and that always out of 1000-2000 players. so either im just the king of the donks or im on a good way to be a good player. i just dont know if i should keep playin tournys/s&g mtt etc ? because i always lose my winnings on cashtable - the reason why i know at least...not the bad beats, but my impatient. thats something i have to work on yet.

To sell play chips search google for "sell pokerstars play chips". You can sell Full Tilt chips, Party Poker chips, etc. Do not sell to free domain sites and always send small increment first. Today I just sold some play chips to a friend's dad lol, 450k for $5. I should open up buy/sell playchips on my website.
