Cast your vote and place your opnion here.
You can help the US get back into the poker world, should help the likes of bankrollmob, as well as us players.
Also you can try to stop the US imprisoning people just for a bit of pot.

For my sake they could legalise funny bacco now, it does not harm anyone more than alcohol and those who want to smoke it do it no matter if it's legal or not.
I saw a recent poll in Denmark, more than 33% of the danish public have tried cannabis inspite of it being illegal so I guess those who want to try it they do try it so what's the point in it being illegal I ask my self Confused ?

Making stuff like this illegal (pot) creates job and gets lot of money for a police department and/or its government... For poker, i wondered what was obama thoughts about that? is there anything that is supposed to change about this or does he want to inforce the actual rules?

as far as im aware its more like decriminlising it, so when someone gets collerd with a joint or a small slab,bag of weed they will not find themself seeing a possable jail sentence, in outher words stop putting ppl in jail for pot.(I guess the will get fines etc)
I personally think it would be better regulated, lots of ppl are smoking absolut crap cus they dont have a choice (contaminated) and this will cause illnesses, it should be like amstadam and then no pot users fall in to the dealers trap of, "i havent got any would you like some smack" and can remain healfy(ish) ok bit over the top but you see my point.
For Poker
"Let online poker players in the United States play legally and without fear of prosecution. Reform the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act to exempt poker, a game of skill, from the law. Boost the economy by letting American companies and Ameican players make money and pay taxes instead of sending online poker businesses offshore. Protect online poker players by regulating the industry to ensure that no one is ever cheated."

@B1gfoot

Smoke: I couldn't agree with you any more, well put Sir Thumbs Up

Poker: Recently a dane was fined 1000$ for making a living of online poker 1 year and his winnings was confiscated 35-40.000$. The case was a bit strange because the man was in the police spot light because they accused him of dealing drugs(coke). When the police searched his house they found 35-40.000$ that the man claimed he had won in online poker but at the same time he was getting financial assistance from the state.
So the guy was probably dealing coke, using online poker as his sham and receiving financial support at the same time so the government would do alot to judge this guy. Only problem is they used this old law §203(written in 1935) "It's illegal to make a living of hasard games" and they made poker a hasard game not too long ago so now it's illegal to make a living of poker. Once they judge one person with this §203 it goes for everyone and the confiscation law works 10 years back so now all pro poker players in DK are shitting their pants my self included so im looking to sell apartment and cars and move to Sweden. I live right next to the bridge to Sweden so not really a problem just a bug.
Long story to get to my point I got 100% compasion with US pokerplayers cause I got same probs here and im done with it, im leaving now Smile

@herenveene

Thanks, hope it was readable cause it was a pretty complicated case.

Why did the guy have allmost 40.000$ in cash in his home because he played online poker?? Sounds weird to me Confused

If he had won them on online poker why doesn't he get a transcript from the poker site he won the money at?

If he is professional poker player then why does he receive financial assistance from the state?

This case brings bad light to the poker society in Denmark which was in a grey zone even before. Not easy being poker player in Denmark having to deal with both laws and the crazy tax laws. The tax laws are not only weird and crazy but extremely high as you probably heard of when Peter Eastgate won WSOP ME.

@B1gfoot

Yeah it's a bug I have to move but I been thinking of it for many years because I love cars Heart actually all toys with engine Big Smile and in Denmark we pay for 3 cars when buying 1 Shock To be exact we got 180% tax on cars. This makes it pretty hard for me to enjoy my passion so maybe it's not so bad that the government gives me the needed motivation to immigrate.

@doomdy

I say bye bye Big Smile nah just kidding Smile
My family knows that I play poker for a living but none of them aprove it or support it. They are all doctors, dentists and lawyers so im am the black sheep in the family only having finished high school Tongue they all wish me to study and get a good education which probably also would be the smartest cause who knows where online poker is in 20 years Confused Confused I mean it's not secured line of work even if you are good at it.

Going for beers now Big Smile good weekend

If your doing it for a living you really need the support of your family, especially when you have a downswing. Remember if your a winning poker player in 20 years time you will be up. and you can do what you wish with the money, but it's imperative you continue with your Education.

Good luck to you Dude.
