Thx dule-vu, but I don't see Skrill as a payment option for either PokerStars or 888poker. I am not sure if it is a Canadian thing or these sites just don't take it. Does anybody know?

As I see on google you can use skrill in canada, but for poker you could ask support at this poker site! Its strange that you dont have in options for deposit, because players from almost every country have that option!

Well i do remember that once you could cash out to pokerstars directly , as well you could cash out to neteller as well. But time goes by and things changes , be happy about what you can get for free , kinda

There used to be more opportunities, today these are the rules)
unfortunately, the withdrawal and deposit options have been changed in many places in recent years, especially since the crypto option has become widespread. for example, red stag had a skrill payment option for a long time, which I used many times both for deposits and withdrawals. then on one occasion, when I wanted to withdraw dollars, I was shocked to find that skrill was among the options, but it didn't work for me even though I paid with it. when I wrote to customer service, they informed me that a country restriction had been introduced for the payment options. if I want to withdraw my money, I should create a crypto account and withdraw it there.. so screw it, all without any warning. the conclusion is that you can always get an unwanted surprise

Agree it's important to appreciate and make the most of what you have access to now.
