It is very interesting what is mentioned in this forum, The drop in gambling rates actually coincides with a long-term downward trend, and researchers claim that this has been a result of the closure of retail establishments due to the pandemic.

this pandemic has severely destroyed many things and destroyed many lives that have been ruined by the measures imposed by the governments of countries around the world. It was normal for the pandemic to hit this industry as well.

Risky behaviour in betting has increased ? By risking you mean spending more than you can afford with your income , bet in more risky options so as to win big money instantly and easy ?? Personally I haven't noticed sth like this . In any case , if it's true , the increase in risking behaviour might be very small , no big problem imo .

An interesting study although its results are not surprising. With the massive influx of mobile gambling apps and the booster of the Covit lockdown, the results of this study seem quite logical.

I don't believe the 'risk ' factor in the article refers to the children who gamble . This last thing always happened , always many children would find ways to play casino games or sports betting, with parents' or friends' credit cards or other ways , it's not a recent or new phenomenon , it's old news .
I think the risking behaviour in the article refers to more money gambled in less safe but more possibly profitable bets or games , imo

Teens , Younger people are easier to get addicted to gambling for sure , because of the characteristics of their age . Ofcourse more protective measures should be taken to ensure that people under 23 don't gamble . 18 is not enough , 21 or 23 years old is better age limit , under which any gambling should be forbidden. . theoretically it happens , but In reality not so much .

I agree with Antonis on the age limit. Also it's a fact that underaged, below 18 have found their way and gamble online And it's the PAYSAFE cards that makes it easy for them.
