must admit that I dont know anything about her, how long she play poker and something more I can read from this news! we can see that she have over 300 000 dollars in earnings from poker, but other things are probably in this podcast! I agree with her about phones and all other technology on tables and arround tables! it should be all banned!

All these things should have been banned long ago.

yes, what you say it's true and maybe this thing will happen. The woman player is talented and says what is needed. He has interesting earnings from poker and can continue to be successful.

First of all, congratulations to the author of the podcast for an interesting material about people involved in poker. In this case, a podcast about Maria Konnikovei. This is the first time I've heard about her, but she seems to be an interesting person. As for the question asked at the end of the article, I think that all items that allow cheating should be banned, including sunglasses and all electronic devices such as phones, smartwatches, etc.

we had news about almost same problem, where poker players talk about lot of stuffs that other players have with them on tables! like ski glasses and many other! for me its silly that they allow everything, that they cover whole body and then play poker! about electronics dont want even to talk about, that even worse, especially when they use samrtphone when they play!

I agree with Maria Konnikova, there are many things that have to be changed in live poker, and this is one of them. I think we have to go one step further and not have any electronic devices anywhere at the table. I would also ban sunglasses because... there is so much technology that can allow cheating. He said it very clearly, everything has to be transparent.

New era, new players, but its strange that poker ogranisation let them dverything!

I agree, and especially in tournament final tables, an issue that urgently needs to be reviewed is the use of solvers by third parties to provide strategic information to players about their opponents. This practice compromises the integrity of the game, offering an unfair and dishonest advantage, which negatively impacts the competition and the experience of other participants.

It will be even bigger problem in future!

I am for ban

Lot of players are but they will not listen them!

I don't think a lot of you play live poker frequently.
Even before the smartphones and smartglasses era there were more than enough ways to cheat at a poker table. This issue didn't just suddenly start ten or so years ago.
The real problem here is there are no governing bodies within the world of poker, no place or tournament share a unified rulebook about what's allowed at a table and so on.
There is no oversight for these issues - mainly because the casino and game providers are getting their cut anyway from the rake so people getting cheated out of their earnings by other people is not their problem.
Nothing will change until we make it their problem.

I play poker, but i am disappointed by the poker rooms that favor other players a lot. Before there were many bots, now it's rarer, but i think it still exists. It's bad with this.

Everything must be coherent, they always have to ensure that no one can cheat in the games, and that everyone can participate in a transparent way, so that the game runs normally and that no one feels like they are being cheated while playing. .

They should ban all of this stuffs from tables!

When i was start playing poker i was thinking like this is gentleman game. But over the years, what i see... from tilt poker and allot well known players cheating. I don't know. Don' have that romantic view over the game anymore. Just like every other stuff, you cant trust no one even if he is well known and good players.

They allow many things that should not be at live table!

Cheating at tables has been around long before smartphones and other devices. This isn’t a new issue that just popped up in. The main issue each tournament or event has its own rules about what’s allowed at the table. Things won’t change until we make it clear what affects game integration and what's not Smile
