i can squeeze a lot of money of people playing ace-rag
its a horrible hand. even when you hit your ace you are still in trouble, hence to the kicker. actually you look to play against an idiot (who pays with bottom-pair, plays every suited hand preflop etc) or to draw at least 2 pair.
so i do consider playing ace-rag as a bluff. and when i bluff it all starts with a raise...

Usually not a good idea. It is a problem hand. At a full table you always have someone with a better Ace or a nice pair, and then you are down to 3 outs. Playability is low too. Always difficult to judge where you stand, when you flop one pair.
But if your opponents let you see flops cheaply and pay you off big time, if you hit a monster, it may be playable.

Depends on position, image and outher players. Try not to limp with any hand, play it to win outherwise you look weak and when that AK7 flop comes a strong player with K will push you off the pot, but there are time when you can limp in late.(if you dont know if you should play a hand or not then dont play it, unless your lucky) Always limpin with A rag will lose you a lot of BBs that you could easaly save.

I rarely play play A rag, it seems like KQ. For me there is 5 conditions to play them: - only at a SH table - if I'm on BU - if there is a limper - if they are suited - if I got 1.5x stack

Ace Rag are horrible cards to play, you will find most of your time limping and then folding to any bet post flop, Its really sucky to play this hand especially if you are looking to play the SSS

Ace rag, only play them in late position and olny play them if there suited, nevr play them up front or in middle position because the can cost u a lot of money when some one in the back raizes with a bigger ace and ur feelin lucky.....
