Posted by ilfukuup: I turned $0 into $31000... so it's possible. It took me 2.5 years, but I only played about 10 hours a week.
Sorry to say I don't belive this if it was online.
If it took you 2,5 years you can not have been more than 17 years when you started. So how did you then get a account on a pokersite when you were under 18?

Well, I'm sorry. I don't think he will succeed in this challenge, he's a very busy man so he'll not find enough time for this stuff by playing online poker.

Ha. I actually started attempting this challenge the other day (except i started on $25)
Ive logged my results (rules changed a very small bit to suit me), they are.
Blind .05, Start $25, End $50 Blind .10, Start $50, End $125 Blind .25, Start $125, End $250 Blind .50, Start $250, End $500 Blind 1.00, Start $500, End $1,000 Blind 2.00, Start $1,000, End $2,000 Blind 4.00, Start $2,000, End $3,000 Blind 6.00, Start $3,000, End $10,000 Blind 10.00, Start $10,000, End $20,000 Blind 20.00, Start $20,000, End $50,000 Blind 50.00, Start $50,000, End $100,000
1. I won't move up in limits unless I have 500 big blinds for that limit. I'm starting at $0.05-$0.010 with a $25 bankroll.
2. When possible, my buy in amount will allow me 5 buy ins at that limit. For example, if I have $5 left, my buy in for the game will be $1. I'll continue to do that until I dip below the min buy in.
3. I will play only NL cash games.
4. If I double my bankroll in a session I'll quit on my blind to help avoid risking too high a percentage of my bankroll in any one hand.
5. At about the $2-$4 limit I may decide to increase the number of big blinds required to move up in limits. 500 BB's is plenty for the micro games, but could be rather short for the higher limit games with better opponents. I'll base my decision on when to do that at my discretion.
6. I may also lower the buy in amount for the higher limit games from 1/5th of my bankroll per session to 1/10th of my bankroll per session. Again, I'll make that decision when the time comes.
7. When the amount needed to reach the goal is less than the 1/5th of the bankroll buy in, the buy in will be equal to the amount needed to reach the goal. Example: If 1/5th of the bankroll is $4.50 but you only need $2.50 to reach the goal, the buy in for the next session will be $2.50.
Obviously I dont intend to make it to $100,000 but im just going along with the challenge for the hell of it. I get bored of these kinds of things quite easily I find. So i started a bit ahead of him, this will allow me to have a break at some point to let him catch up. Then I can start again from whenever he reches my bankroll.

Ofcourse it's doable, if the man is a winner at the highest stakes he can beat all other levels too so imo it's just a matter of time. Waste of time imo.

Its very tough but i reckon he can do it but will take him over a year. Chris ferg's one was better from 0 - 10k winning freerolls with thousands of players is solid work even for a pro. thats why it took him so long to get started wasnt it something like 6 months before he cashed. :-S

Adj. 1. doable - capable of existing or taking place or proving true; possible to do. Yep english But i dont see the point either, compleate waste of time, but im sure pokerstars dont look at it like that, hell they might even pay him good to play these low limits
