Nice quick responses to new member's concerns about the site [/sarcasm]

Forget about playing tourneys there. If you don't play cash games this site is not for you.

i find the tournaments fairly good there, allways low player amounts and really fishy players, that is if you play only the tournaments there Thumbs Up

They shouldn't bother running them if they're just going to cancel when they don't get enough players. That's the problem I have with the site. I didn't go there in search of mtts, but they do list them. DOn't expect 50% of them to actually go ahead though. Even for the cash player the traffic is way too low to want to play there regularly,

I can just say of my experience that its total crap. In cash game there are so many aggressive fish that you can hardly play any cards. And if you play, you get kicked by some marginal hand. I lost (percentaged more than won) several times after a preflop allin with AA against crap like 92s, KJoffsuit etc.. I think there is something wrong with the mathematics....my opinion Blink

There is nothing wrong with the math. There are simply to many crazy canadians playing there. Big Smile

What Shock Shock

Where do you find that canadian players are Crap players Aww crap!

Do you remember, a not long past time with plenty of Confused Thumbs Down players coming from a "today poker banned place mostly" ???

Play there for a while and you will see that a lot of those players can't be sober. Cool

action poker stinks in my opinion its just slow even the turbo's seem to go on forever and all the players seem so dull you cant even get a good conversation.
and the graphics are dull too/

I think they need a lot more traffic. And my bankroll management says I only have one eligible table there, always full, sometimes with a waiting list big enough to fill another table.

I will use my bankroll to practice heads up an 6-Max SNG, since it doesn't take much time to get the opponents.

The software is not bad, sometimes the register confirmation dialog misses and the bet slider in the table is not very efficient. I suggest bet shortcut buttons (1/2Pot, 3/4Pot, AllIn) in the tables. Minitables would be great too.

Action Poker is not one of the more popular poker sites around. Or it is not YET one of the more popular sites, rather. They deserve some leeway as they're very new, having started up at 2005.

This is one of seven English-language game rooms owned by Action Poker Gaming Inc. The others are Tiger Gaming, Poker in Canada, Play Vegas from Home, Holy Cow Poker, Atlantis World Poker, and Private 1 Casino. The Action Poker network is powered by the software provider Las Vegas from Home Entertainment Inc. Like many of the more practical gaming sites out there, the ActionPoker website is registered in Antigua and Barbuda.

The site promises action, and delivers. There are more games on this site than startups would normally host. Currently they offer Texas Hold'em (Limit, No-Limit), Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 Card Stud, 7 Hi/Lo, Guts Poker (a variation of poker where players ante and are dealt 3 cards; after staying or folding, the winning hand takes the pot, while losing hands match the pot as their next ante. This game comes in two variations: Monte Carlo Guts and Survivor Guts), Chinese Poker, Big 2 Poker, Pan, and Black Jack.

Well, after 3 sessions and minor lost from NDB all I say is that Action poker does have potentional but really needs some work. 1: the trafic/ players is to low for chance of playing any stakes 2: the client crashed 2 times during me bringing it infront of firefox 3: its too uggly - seriously
But, afterall... theres something about it - can it be the free cash? Hmm.. we´ll see

Similar problem here, I don't know if it was because of Firefox, but getting an ugly and unpleasant "Send or Don't Send Error report" in the middle of an heads up is pretty annoying.
Aww crap!

Imagine a crash when you are about to raise your pocket aces?
I hope I had bad cards during that short sit out. Confused

But I still believe this room has some potential. Give them some time. But not to much.
