Hansen is a very good tourney player, but i guess that Ivey is the more complete poker player. He had had success in other forms of poker , like Stud, too.

Hmm Gus Hansen lives in Monaco as far as I know, don't know who to pick they are both sick imo. I will let the results do the talking Dollar

Ill have to say Phil Ivey, he is one of the most complete poker players at the moment... if you saw "The nuts" video of perfect player, many professionals said Ivey is perfect :O

Ivey is much better definitely. He has a real talent. Hansen is easier to read and sometimes he really plays like a fish.

True, Ivey to a hard opponent. Gus sometimes plays like a fish whereas Ivey often makes huge laydowns. For Ivey is way better Thumbs Up

Very difficult choice, both solid and aggressive.

Maybe in a tournament Hansen could have some possibilities more but I think Ivey is

better

Did you see the tournament he went all in almost every hand and won?

And have you read his book? I want to, I heard it's good.

Gus is more agressive player than Phil and i like his style more so i go for Gus

Yes I saw that tournament it was pretty crazy, he allmost did same style in latest WPT but donked of his chiplead by calling 3bets with rag gappers and when he finally got his money in good T8o on AT8X villain couldn't give him credit and called with A9s TP+nut draw and completed on river.....bye bye Gus Aww crap!

Btw haven't read his book yet but I also heard great things about it but mostly about tours I think.

has to be phil imo. online anyway. his bankroll management is so good. Hansen is a mad man online.

ye i have read his book about how he plays every hand n wins in the aussie millions '07 is that the one u r referring to geneyuss
uhmm i dont know if u would call it good because it just tells u the way he approached every hand but it is truely a good insight into gussys mind the mad mind lol

as far as ivey vs hansen goes
it has to be ivey hands down hes the most feared cash game player on the planet but i do believe gus is a much better mtt player than phil

i will try to add a good example of why its not good to mess with ivey.. unless you have very deep stack,,, im sure sahamy boy can take a beat like this.. but even if hes rich it had to hurt.. almost 200k pot,, and believe me zigimund got all the money in after the flop when he hit trips,, with a flush draw out there,, and knowing how aggressive ivey is,, this is a good example of, dont play cash games over your limit,, ivey caught a magic river jack.. to crush zigi, and put him down 100k.. ouch ouch ouch.. i can only imagine what he said when that jack hit .. Aww crap!

you can be way ahead and play your best game,.. and someone elses mistake, bad luck , or a combination of the two can empty your bankroll in hurry.. Shock
