yesterday i was attestor at a sng-game i cant cope with it yet
flop KKK ( !) one of the guys had the 4th and slowplay it in a worse way..so he got his punishment on the river( he never went all in or more than minraises!!!) when he looked onto the other players royal flush.. lol he lost the nuts like scrat at the ice-age movie wished that would happened at a badbeatjackpot-table
few hands later the same guy slowplayed again his pocket AQ with Flop AQX in the same bad way.. not on the driver seat just call the bet of me.. and i got my straight 10 to A on the river betting potsize and he calls...

The thing with quad kings hurt, and i don't think one should worry to much about a runner runner straight flush. But slowplaying a simple two pair is dangerous.

Posted by Calmplay: Would have sounds like tons of falling onto your table with you given a small percentage but BIG money what a shame.
hmm.. i read about 1000$ for every non involved player( i folded preflop) at the table .. imo thats enough to watch a popcorn-showdown and starting with 50$ freebankroll

Apparently runner runner royal flush happens sometimes - I saw it too last night In this hand, both of them were all-in preflop after a bit of raising back and forth. Luckily I stayed out of it
Edit: While I'm already showing screenshots, I might as well show the one where I lost with KK against runner runner straight too, and get some pity All-in preflop though...

Yer first one real unlucky a normall str8 or FH would have made some nice $$, second one is daft, you should only ever slow play the absolute nuts even then you may aswell play it as you wont normall get much action, the nuts kinda sucks when you flop it. Nice picks admin, how did that 2nd hand go down who was the donk??

I was playing 1 2 live the other day, and had 53ss on the button. Four limpers ahead of me and I limp as well. The BB makes it $10 and everyone calls. The flop comes A47 with the Ace of spades and it was checked around. The turn is my gin card, the 2 of spades. I now have the nuts with a redraw to a straight flush. The BB bets $35 and "Ode to Joy" starts playing loudly in my head. I think for a while and make it 80 to go. He insta-shoves and I call. He has a set of fours(with the 4 of spades alas). The river is a 3 and the straight holds up, I'm never in for the turn if he bets on the flop. He stared daggers at me for a good 15 minutes and then left. Slowplaying anything but the absolute nuts is crazy, unless it's to put in a monster check-raise to a maniac who has position on you.

Are you crazy? You don't need absolute nuts at all, if you sense weakness in your opponent with a good hand like top two pair or a set it is crazy to waste your hand by playing hard, but when a dangerous draw comes out you'll have to protect your hand.

You notice in my example the gentleman went broke with middle set because he thought the board was dry. In live cash games there are usually 4 or 5 fishermen calling with any two cards so it's best to bet the snot out of your good hands because you will get paid. That same night I flopped a straight and flopped a flush, got it all in on the flop both times against two pair(they both hit their four-outers but that's beside the point). It's better to make a little money than go broke getting cute.

Well you can't really expect to go brooke every time you because you fear a 4 outer comming up. Besides on most tables you won't be up against 5 people on the flop, in which case I agree slow playing is stupid, but in most cases 35 won't have called a 5BB bet pre flop. And yes slow playing a set backfired, doesn't mean it always will, or that it is a bad play, As you said you shoved with nuts and lost, does that mean that you should fold the nuts?
