My wife does not like when i am playing poker online ... sometimes she even turn the pc off so i lose connetion ... it's not that i am playing hours and hours or even lose a lot of money ... she just hate cardgames and my child is not allowed to take a look at a game when i am playing ... so most of the times i play now when she is not at home or when she is sleeping ... that's the only opportunity that i have to play without being made nervous over her reactions ...

ul m8 mabye u should try gettin here 2 like poker, like takin here out 2 a casino, for a nice dinner and mabye some poker aftherworst, ps here turnin of the pc is not cool, mean if ur normal live is oek she should chill out, thats why mabye u 3 should go and play 2 getter

have tried in the past to take her out to a casino ... did not work at all ... she is very religion person ( orthodox ) she prefer to go to church than to go to casino ... a kind of funny and sad at the same time ...

Maybe You should try to convince her that poker is not only gamble and luck. Fighting her will get you nowhere. Mine gf was against it too at start but when I showed her a couple of moves on several occasions it made her believe that it is really at least half a game of skill. Try that maybe it will work but if she is that orthodox in her beliefs maybe it won`t have a chance to hit the right spot.

What do you prefer in your life, poker or your relationship? Doesn't sound like you have the setup there to warrant both. Religious wife and a child :/ Sounds like you have a decision to make.
I'd take poker anytime lol but don't listen to me, I've had my fill of womens bs in my time.

In my early days my gf didnt like online poker also. Then after a couple of months i showed her my graph of profit. Now she dont care anymore, she watches TV, i am playin poker with my laptop.

tell her to f**k off, then explain to her that her place is in the kitchen when shes not tending to the children, and her mouth would be much better off performing other duties other than talking lol. just kidding.

same like me.. but i work at a shiftoperation ... have more time to play when my wife is at work but bad if she arrives earlier.. had to quit a nice sng as stack leader 2 days ago

I think if you win a 100.000$ tournament she will like poker afther that or probably not :F

Only in Utopia it's possible to have a wife that doesn't care about you playing poker. They just hate when they don't get our attention. Get yourself a laptop and wireless connection, pretend like you're having a stomach ache and you can play for hours on end in the bathroom. Maybe download a sound sample of huge nasty fart and play it once in awhile on the laptop to add to the authenticity
I had similiar problem with my girlfriend... She was bad when i was playing but now she doesn't care anymore... I did like Gagamon said. I bought her a very nice gift with the money i have won so now she knows i am not loosing money there and i make some nice profit from it That worked really fine. Now she also plays sometimes... lol

pulling out the plug in the middle of poker game is grounds for a severe beating, lol, just quoteing a muslim cleric who"s making headlines over here at the moment. acording to him, a women is doing very well if she doesnt get a beating on any given day, he"s a tad extreme, i wonder what he"d do in this situation ??

been there in fact i am there too lol my wife dose not like me playing either so i try to play while she is asleep or at work. the bad thing is a lot of tourneys happen on the weekend and they are really hard to play in i have to work them around all the things she wants to do lol so i miss a lot of games but she is more to me than poker so i just do ythe best i can
or probably not :F
