yes.. i cant play some nice tournaments as they start at bad times to germans or at the weekend when its familiy time but i was pondering about folding my wife or the cards ... just kidding... think that will never happen( .. but look at my poker dependent thread ) actually i play for fun ( with receiving some little money) and i can handle this female dictatorship good ( but worst case: a possible punishment of 6 weeks no sex )

My girlfriend hate poker too, she said I am addicted and I am going to lose all my money and contract debts when I would be a adult ...
She's really crazy about poker ... But I don't live with her, so I can play when I want but the problem is for the game with friend ... She always know when I am playing a little SNG with beer, cigaret and firend ...

I have never had such problems with my wife. Now, Im not saying you should get a new one, but there is obviously a problem with the current... Tell her that Jesus used to play poker all the time. Says so in the Bible. Page 18.

Same here, well, my girlfriend - I'm not mad enough to get married! - I used to watch her playing online and used to tell her it was a waste of time, it's all luck Then she let me play a game on her account one night and I won, that was me hooked. Set up my own account next day, I have accounts on most poker sites now after 3 years.
If it's something that keeps you happy and you're not losing much money on it, then your wif should leave you to it and be happy she gets time to herself while you play! I wouldn't let anyone ruin my fun just because they were against it. Tell her to take up knitting or something while you're playing
I respect religion so I can understand you. My wife of course is not so happy when I play poker online but only because she doesn't like pc and internet in general. She never swicthed off my pc but she often tells me to spend more time with my children

What has religion got to do with Poker? She's religious, that's good for her .... he doesn't rant at her for wanting to pray so much so why should he have the right to rant at him over his hobby?
I'm sure she's breaking a commandment there somewhere - Thou shalt not unplug your husband's fun-time! or something

I feel lucky my girlfriend was playing it online long before I was, so she understands
I know a lot of female players who love it, not all that hard to find out there.
I spend most evenings at the pc playing on one site or another, once the kids have been put to bed I'm all good to go. She is usually in the other room watching tv with her laptop on the coffee table chatting to her mates. If she really wants me she knows how to use MSN LOL

damn, very unlucky for you, i haven' t told my girl that i' m playing poker, that would be very bad of me if i come to visit her, and download poker on her pc LOL but she said that i' m not giving her as much time as she wants, and i think it' s the end of the relationship pretty sad, but i love poker too much, i choose poker, not my girl

WoW that sucks. Well since i am the only woman commenting here I must say that for a "spouse' to be bitching cause ur playing poker online is bs. My hubby sits on a computer beside me and although he plays different sites than me, I am the one who got him into playing.
You know, you do have other alternatives to as some put it "ditching the bitch" etc. Simply just say ok honey np. turn off your puter, grab your coat and wallett and go play live !
I bet she will be far happier that at least #1 your home,#2 she will see that playing poker does not make you a "demon" . If that doesnt work then say "geez dear" it offends me when you whine about my poker play, go shopping or watch those stupid show's ( i.e sluts in the city or despaarate house whores! opps sorry did I say what I think of those lame ass shows out loud??)
