denmark/finland because they have the best players (or?) but i think the country that brings poker to my mind is USA because most players are coming from the states, the 5card draw western.............and ofc VEGAS.

Well several big poker profiles are from at least canda and italy, im not sure about vietnam though. But seriously what other reason do you have for wanting to put sweden other than that you live there?

Yes and the states have half the final table almost every time. Besides, there are hardly any famous swedish poker players, I can see no real arguement for it being the poker country, once again your choice is based entirely on you living in sweden.

well i would say that a lot of players would make it more of a poker country rather than less. Besides though we have a some final tables sweden have very few actual brecelet winners. I might agree with you to the extent of giving sweden the title of a poker country, but never the. And I don't think anyone would objectivly think so.

Cardplayer made an investigation on which country won most medals pr participant and Denmark won with allmost double as many medals(wins) pr participant as the runner up which country that was runner up I can't remember.
Partypoker also made a research to find which nationality had most winners, and guess what over 25% of the danes playing on Party are winning players(think it was 27,?%). That's alot compared to you normally say that only 5-10% of the players are winners.
Don't want to ruin the thread but it's actually not up to discussion Denmark is the strongest poker nation that's a proven fact

I still think there should be other factors than success when determining the poker country, come on I honestly don't think that there is much of a contention about USA being the poker country right now, come on, the biggest poker game right now is TEXAS hold 'em for gods sake.

I won't argue with you about the statistics, but I don't think that results is the sole factor when determining the poker country. I would no doubt say that we are in the poker decade at the moment, but I can assure you that there are more loosing players now than ever.

To put it the other way arround. My first thought when I were young and heard Poker were a 5 card draw in a saloon in a western movie, and of course in USA. They drink wiskey and it always ends with a fight.
