this is an excellent idea! i defintatly think there should be something for having good posts.. something like if your posts recieve like say "50" thumbs up in a week you get an extra some odd mob points or another shot at the safe... while they all have to be longer than a certian length!! i think that would be really good as well as a so many thumbs up issued give you a bonus as well! that way you have the users sort tho the garbage posts...
possibly something if a certian user recieves a certian amount of thumbs down in a week they get punished some how??

For now, the posts has to be 100 chars (spaces included), before points are awarded. This WILL be modified if it turns out that everybody just starts quoting somebody else, to get more characters in their post.

i agree and also they should give you mob points for cracking the safe combo too which ive done once it would be a few more points closer to that distant mile stone of 5000 mob points that seems alife time away let me know what you think thank you

i actually like rading some of the posts the system is for the people who actually use the site so they get awarded i think thats how it works anyhow but yes that is a good idea because 5000 points is a long way away

I do like the idea IMO. I only have a few posts here because I only just joined recently. But your point is clear, it is an easy system to abuse, writing 1 line answers simply to get points quickly. But IMHO if you want to be a contributing member of a forum, it's really not difficult.

no if you read the terms and cons and also some of the other posts it states that all posts will be read and checked to see if they are worthy of the points and also posts do have to be a certain length

haha, that's an itriguing idea. However, I read in several posts that in order to recieve the 8 points for a post, it has to be at least one hundred characters in length.
And moderators will check your posts to make sure they're legit if you post too many.
So it seems like a lot of unneccesary trouble to go to to try to get 500 points by primarily posting.
And even so: 5000 posts divided by 8 points... that's over 600 posts.
Do you know how long it would take to post 600 lengthy posts that moderators would find legit?

Not only that - if a cashout is requested from where most of the points are generated by forum post, the cashout will be rejected and points returned to the user, until some more points have been generated by referring users instead.

who is gonna decide what a good post is you see cause every subject has to be taken different and can be seen as a good post in his category so my main question is who decdes this?

I think the award thing is a g8 idea. But again there should be some kind of review on the topics that are posted - perhaps it should be divided into categories etc. it should be carefully implemented as it could have negative effect.
And for the activity in here - this is what makes this a g8 site besides the bonus/offers etc. It is possible to share stories, experiences and get other views on i.e. a hand played during a game of poker. Sometimes you think you play poorly but it may be that you played the hand correctly but was just unlucky. Or the opposite which is even better to get feedback on.
