i just received a free bankroll at virgin poker. i took a look now what stud games they offer and saw a game called soko. thanks to google i found out the following:
Soko is a version of 5 Card Stud Poker where a 4-card straight and a 4-card flush have been added to the hand rankings. These hands beat one pair and are beaten by two pair, meaning the Soko hand rankings in order of low to high are: high card, pair, 4-card straight, 4-card flush, two pair, three of a kind, straight, flush, full-house, quads and finally a straight flush. While it doesn’t come into play often, it’s worth noting that there is no such Soko hand as a 4 card straight flush.
Other than the two added hands, Soko is played exactly like traditional 5 Card Stud. Additional names for this game include Scandinavian Stud, Canadian Stud and the Finnish spelling: Sökö. An interesting fact is that sökö is a poker term used for checking in Finland ( I check = minä sökötän ).

have you heard of it before? is it a nice game? i like RAZZ and Stud8 but im not sure about 5 card stud... should i give it a try?

OK, my finnish is not very good, but you wrote that you used to play this game for your houses? Is that right? I ws born in Finland, and sort of recognise the name, but cant remember my father losing such bit things. Probably the wrong part of Finland...

Joo perkele sillon savotta aikana saatto talot vaihtaa s�k�ss� omistajaa.. Yep, s�k� used to be very popular game in finland.
i like RAZZ and Stud8 but im not sure about 5 card stud... should i give it a try?
