The success of all kinds of bluff in poker rests on telling your opponent(s) a convincing story about what hand you hold with your bets and raises throughout the hand. If your bets make sense in relation to a particular hand (for example a flush) then you will win with a bluff more often than you lose. If your bets and raises apparently make no sense - for example not betting throughout the hand and suddenly going all-in on the river - then you are less likely to succeed
Depends on the ability of your opponents. For example, if you're playing a final table in an EPT tournament a nonsense bet could pay you a lot of chips. Opponents could think you have a monster hand hidden... or not

Well it's very obvious isn't it? Basicly what he is saying is that if you make your opponent belive that you have a good hand the bluff will work more often, but that is nothing but the definition of bluffing trying to get your opponent to think that you have a good hand when in fact you don't.
I totaly agree with B1gfoot! Bluffing is a most important component of the poker but you can't bluff as an idiot: you must consider your opponent's capacity of reading

Dont try to bluff a poor player. If he has at least middle pair he will call no matter the board.Yesterday I was playing live poker and saw a total fish walking out as a winner. How?Everybody (exept) me tried to bluff him.
Example:Board - 5s Ks Ac 9h 8s.A very good player went all-in on the river and the fish called having Kh 2d and took the pot,not because he "read" the bluff but because he is a call-man.YOU CANT BLUFF A CALLING STATION,IF HE HAS SOMETHING HE'CALL,IF HE BETS HE'CALL ANY RAISE.

I completely agree, when you get the pot with a monster hand you did just what you are expected to do, but the feeling is really different when you get it with a trash hand

Some are very good bluffing, I got bluffed when three players played hand.
So I fold, I thought they had three pairs or full house. That hand didnt have chance of straight or flush. But when I saw they continued. Anotha had just low pair. And another absolutely nothing. I got bluffed. I would easily won that hand with best cards.
Yes very exciting steal a big pot with nothing in hand I join all members which said how is important to bluff at right moment and considering your opponent's strenght

I find it hilarious in micro games when people try to bluff a LOT. Opponents will call more at lower levels on the off chance you are, so why do they keep trying it? Often it's so easy to spot too, min raise, check, raise, big raise on river when they miss everything. I love calling those bluffs.
