I wasnt able to register to this freeroll tournament either. I tried to register on satrurday afternoon around 4pm , and it was already full 6 hours before the start of the tournament. The password needs to be hidden, so that only logged members @ bankrollmob can see it.

You dont have ANY entitlement to play in freerolls. They are at the discretion of the site and you get plenty of this site as it is...
------------ As a site owner who runs freeroll events on FTP then trust me I know how FTP work.
The simplest solution is to release the PW later. Releasing it days in advance is jsut asking for it to be leaked.I can take you to countless sites that leak the PWs and the earlier they are released the more people get to see them. And yes, there are people on here who are leaking Passwords. You wont stop that.
Secondly, what you can do is contact FTP support if you find hte freeroll has been filled up with non members and ask them to remove all players and issue a new password.
I had a problem on my poker forum and I contacted FTP to complain and their response was quite simple. ITS YOUR EVENT, ITS YOUR PASSWORD, ITS UP TO YOU TO MAKE SURE IT GOES TO WHO YOU WANT IT TO GO TO...
and they are quite right. In this situation I would release the PW 10 minutes before the event and I promise you you will lose half the non members if not more.

The reason its happening, and no offence here, is you are releasing the PW too early..
The only other way is for you to issue FTP with a list of members who are eligible to play ( ie their usernames ) and ask them to restrict it to those members only... Problem solved instantly

If fulltilt offered these freerolls to BRM under some sort of agreement and promised to restrict them to players signed up through BRM they've broken the agreement and therefore we should be entitled to replacement freerolls. Of course two or three freerolls is not something to make a huge fuss over imo but fulltilt should defo sort this out and apologise to BRM. Its their fault and it benefits them if they get away with it. Although next week I agree the password should be released last minute to avoid this cock up again. If fulltilt fix it then go back to how it is now.

I was of course referring to the situation where the affiliation program hasnt worked and the password can be used by just anyone. Given the cirumstances faced, then it makes sense to restrict access to the PW until as such time as this can be rectified with FTP.
Once the situation is resolved then all is good. But until that point DONT release the PW until the very last minute that way the people who should benefit, do.. and those that have been registered for 2-3 days and yet havent even set foot on this site, wouldnt be there....
and no offece taken by the second post.. although I must point out as an affiliate of FTP poker myself and forum owner, I do actually know what I am on about...

But it can also be productive and beneficial to BRM to not have the freerolls restricted for some events.
In my experience people on FTP will see freeroll events and go check the website out. They will be more inclined to hang around if there are freeroll evenst available for sites they are already members of.
If someone is on FTP and sees a Freeroll on that site they may well come to the site, but they are not oging to download FTP from here because clearly they've already got it and are therefore ineligible to get it again. They could well find this out and walk away not bothering to come back, but an odd freeroll that they can take part in on FTP is more likely to keep them hanging around and therefore take up other offers or promotions..

Well I disagree. Its not beneficial long term for BRM. I actually discovered this site by seeing a freeroll on partypoker. I wasn't able to register for it cos I already had an account but I stuck around. BRM is more likely to lose more members than gain by setting up exclusive promotions which aren't exclusive. It will piss people here off causing admin more hastle.
Fulltilt on the other hand get us to log in to register to find out we can't. We may play a bit now we've logged in. They get non brm members to log in to register as well. They fill up the tournament which means the pot is shared by more people. People often play two games at once so they get more people in the freeroll playing other tables at the same time. And they hold on to more customers who think that fulltilt has lots of private freerolls you can just hack into.

Actually when these freerolls started they were very profitable. Less than fifty players and a 200 dollar pot if I remember right. That's like paying for a four dollar buy in and not turning up. I might be confusing it with pacific freerolls though. Still they are all good value when not full, especially if you've used up your no deposit bonus and don't want to deposit yet.

That's the way it already is. Except we don't send a list to them, they already know which players are tracked to us, and only those players should be allowed to register. That's how the freerolls were set up in the past and that's how they SHOULD have been set up for this month too, except it seems like FTP made a mistake.

umarplus, you can edit your post for up to 60 minutes. But we can make certain posts editable forever, ie. if you need to maintain 1st post in a thread and such.
They already confirmed the mistake and would have it corrected for the future, but apparently they didn't fix tonights freeroll (yet, at least). So all we can do is wait till next week.
