Skill > Bankroll Management. Because a truly skilled player uses bankroll management. Pros hit downswings and lose 1+million dollars in a month for example Gus Hansen, but his bankroll allows him to lose that much in a month. Any1 else I no that loses that much is basically done for life. Bankroll Management gives u more comfort in ur game not being too scared to lose ur money/bluff. Being scared of losing ur money makes u fold hands that are winners and make u never bluff which in the long run costs u lots of money. And u also go broke faster from bad beats. With Bankroll Management u never go broke as u move down limits when ur bankroll drops and move up limits when ur bankroll spikes and if u have the skills u'll be moving up the limits in the long run and making more money.
If u play with bankroll management and u never move up limits then u better get better or just quit poker, but about 75+% of players that use bankroll managements are winners.

Will you post again when your broke? If you continue playing $3/6 with only two buy ins you'll be broke in a few days max.

Whether you are winning or losing, bankroll management is essential, I think. If you are winning it tells you how far up the levels you can climb, if you are losing it can stop you going broke until you hit an upswing again.
Either way, don't play with money you can't afford to lose.
Usually in cash game the the minimum buy- in is 20 Big Blinds and the maximum buy-in is 100 Big Blinds. If you have 40 Dollars you have to play BSS in NL2 and SSS in NL10. I hope you will not sit with all money to a table. Use Bankroll Management

very interesting thread guys.. bank roll management imo is very important. but. the problem is how you play and what happens when you shove with the best hand and lose. if you follow a correct rule and not try and win when you tilt you will make your money in the long run. but sometimes it just helps to punch the screen.
management is usefull to don't loose all of your money when your good hand's beaten ) i think there are 2 ways when you dont use bankollmanagement : 1) you loose you stack 2) you win big money but it's more chances to meet second position on tables i think )

As said in many post´s above - BR management is not only important but even crucial. It gives you a chance of staying focused and go forward to what you realy need. Progress through stakes and levels and constincensy in tourneys is a must if one of say 750 players will make it into serious poker skills. To bad I found about it as late as after 7-8K losses, but hey - I am back at page 1 and building it up.

Well, bankroll management did help a lot in online poker, it really helps to prevent us to go broke in short time. I am trying my best to refer to bankroll managment, but sometimes it is really hard to refer while playing.
Sorry i am quite new to this forum and before I only played poker when very bored Was just wondering what exactly you meant by Bankroll Managment? Seeing as i dont know what you mean i guess i must be missing out

Sorry for what may be a tard question.
hi and welcome to the forums. bankrollmanagement does basically mean, that you restrict yourself to only bet a certain amount (like 5 %) of your bankroll at once.
if you split your bankroll like that, you will have it easier to handle variance, but also you will only play for smaller amounts of money ( = smaller winnings)
some players seem to be obsessed by very carefull bankrollmanagement, while others have no problem taking a gamble for most (or even all) of their bankroll.
