I study insurance and finance. Normally at the end of the year the financial coorporations are lining up to recruit student who graduate from our school. But this year there is only one job vacancy available for 50+ students. So I can assure you that finding a job in this sector has gone from easy to impossible hope my poker gets a little bit better so I can earn my money playing cards

It's hard to sell cars and apartment for the "right" price. Poker wise I don't notice it, maybe the games are a bit tighter maybe not it's very hard to tell imo.

no I think poker is one business that's growing through the credit crunch. the popularity has been growing a while. Casino royale and films in general show poker players as winners. Televised tournaments are increasing. the image of poker is changing and the credit crunch hasn't stopped it.
If anything in these desperate times more people are turning to gambling to win their fortune. And increasing unemployed may just add to the poker players.

I also said I didn't notice it, maybe tighter maybe not. But im pretty sure if people got less money they spend less money which makes me believe the fish ratio is decreasing but I can't feel it in my profits.

I wasn't having a go at you or saying you were wrong. Just expanding on how the credit crunch effects poker. You'd think less money means less spending but I don't think its necessarily true. Spending money that we do not have is what got us into this mess.
I agree its hard to tell if the credit crunch has effected poker. I haven't noticed anything either. I was just pointing out that numbers have been rising.

It has had a small negative effect so far and, possibly, worse to come. I'm just going to have to put more work into poker and see if I can make something there. Its all a bit chancy, though

Weakminded, thats a bit shitty but im sure thing will turn around at some stage, gl with the poker.
M3 id kinda disagree on the sales at the right price, over here houses have been overvalued for a long time id say if you have money now is a great time to buy and at the "right" price, but hard to sell yes.
Awood, its not spending money we dont have that got us in this mess its the US giving money to ppl who cant pay it back (in short) bad loans, bad banking bad managment etc.(subprime mortgages)
shuggee, no offence think your age is a benafit to you and you shouldent suffer but yes worse to come but you will be retired by then and ill be paying more tax to keep you Gl at the tables.
I think to be lucky because the company I work for, at the moment, goes well. It would be really hard to lose job and to look for another one this moment. But I think things will be better in a couple of years
