1 000 000 US$ = 212.630236 million Hungarian forints so it is quite much... I think I would buy a new sport car, go for a holiday with my girlfriend, deposit to play poker... and take the money to the bank, and live my own normally life...

Posted by awood88: I wouldn't invest it back in poker. If I won it in poker which would be truly outstanding I'd be happy to retire from poker a rich man. I wouldn't become a pro and gamble thousands in one poker game like we see on telly. And if I won it on the lottery which would be even more outstanding since I've never played and never intend to I wouldn't throw it away losing to some poker pros.
I wouldn't however spend it on the boring things. I've no dream of becoming poker pro but I have ambitions of being a famous director. So I guess I'd invest it in making my first film. Or finance one of my other ambitious projects. I may still end up blowing it all but I'd enjoy it much more.
I would like to hear more on this topic of being a director.
I'm currently in university doing French and media but last year I did screen studies. I have a few ideas for films I'd love to make (write and direct) but mostly horror and sci-fi so I'd need a huge budget. Right now I'm writing a comedy screenplay for my uni course but its not something I'd particularly like to make. I have my own video camera but I have a habit of being lazy so I missed my chance to enter a film competition. It's something I'm determined to do though. I'm quite a good writer and my head will burst if I don't get these ideas out soon.

I'm 19 so I would put about 50k aside for school. Buy a 700k house. Houses here in Vancouver go for 600k+ for a decent house. so then I have 250k left. I will buy a nice m3 for 40k and 40k in my poker acct that way I have a nice bankroll and can afford to play 5$/10$NL. 5k for a very nice trip and 15k shopping spree. 150k to stay in my savings which I will b wasting slowly during school years unless I make lots of profit in poker.
This way right when I'm done school I have a nice job making 200k/year, I already have a nice house, already have a nice car and probably 50000$ left.
i would spend an big world tour holiday with my family and then i would live my live normal again, but i would use 10 % of the million to invest in another poker games to winning more
