After 13,000 played hands Patrik Antonius had taken a big lead with almost 500,000 US dollars ahead of his opponent Tom Dwan. Now, 556 hands later, the lead is "only" $391,704 for Antonius. But if Tom Dwan can win almost $100,000 in just an hour, he can probably take back his big loss in just a few sessions?

I dont think dwan made a panic move on the first hand... call out of position wins less pots than a check raise and with overpair + gutshot + flush draw + the small chance he can still be ahead on the flop, i think it makes it a better play. I would do it if i had that kind of money

Ya, I'm surprised the match is this close. I was anticipating millions won or lost and one of them buying out of the challenge. I guess this is still a lot of hands to be played.

What did i said last time? I believe Dwan can still be in the race, there is many hands to play, but i can be a big pile of money to loose either! Following a competition makes me crazy, thinking in the possibilities i have if i ever play this game really good

I've been watching the latest episodes of poker after dark and I really believe now that Dwan is more of a lucky donk than a brilliant player. he raises EVERY single hand, no matter what the cards, and seems to always hit the flop or at least get a great draw. Tha man just cannot fold, but always gets lucky. Sure, his aggression is fearless and it works well for him, but I just wish I had his luck, i might play much higher stakes myself if I did!

Posted by rugmuncher68: im anovice player but dwan stinks,if u came across the sort of plays on the net that dwan makes you would be quite happy if playing within ur limits
That is the point. He puts a lot of pressure on his opponents. And most of the time they are playing quite deep. So those moves are even more powerfull.
